Absolutely love Awakenings and it’s a pity it really doesn’t happen now. It’s a really lovely park at night. Tree of life was by far the best use of projections I’ve seen. Looked like true magic!

Not accusing you of being a liar or anything, but is there a source to the whole "LMM wants a ride for Encanto before doing a sequel or series"? Because I'm trying to find a source for that and idk if I'm looking the wrong places, but I can't find anything to what you said. The real biggest reason Encanto was fasttracked and guaranteed to be a ride was that Lin said that it had to get a ride before he would do a sequel (not necessarily like that but I'm sure that definitely sped things up)
""Everyone's like, 'Will there be a sequel? Will there be a show?' and I said, 'I want a ride before I want any of that,' " said Miranda."
Seems like a lot of the things that Lin touches gets representation in the parks (Lion King, Mary Poppins (supposed to), Moana, Encanto)

Though at the same time, there was an interview back in March of this year with John Leguizamo (voice actor for Bruno Madrigal) and he said a sequel was basically in the very early works
Thank you!![]()
Lin-Manuel Miranda says he wants an 'Encanto' theme-park attraction before a sequel or TV series is made
Insider spoke with Lin-Manuel Miranda on the red carpet of the Hispanic Federation's annual gala in New York City on Thursday.www.businessinsider.com
Kind of hoping those are the "details" we get in a month. On the Indiana Jones side of things, do we know anything about the plot? Could the new ride involve dinosaurs somehow?

Could be fun if it's mentioned through either the queue or the restaurant in the land that the Dino Institute/Dr Seeker has "contacted Indiana" about a special job that isn't his usual work but can pay well or something. Maybe a little notice, phone, or a radio in. Would be a super fun as a little nod to what was there before. So doesn't appear to directly involve dinosaurs but I am sure there will be some Easter eggs

I dont think there is many public released updates other that those 2, but there was some type of meeting that we have images from to show off the work that went into making the area very accurate and true to South America. From the D23 press release back in 2024
"In this new venture, the man with the hat has recently discovered a perfectly preserved Maya temple, and that can only mean one thing: it’s time to explore it. He’s heard rumors about a mythical creature deep within the temple — and he’s got to see it for himself. So, he brings us along on the adventure… but will there be snakes? We’ll just have to wait and see."
By the way, apart from closure dates, have we actually had any official updates from Disney about Tropical Americas since 2024 D23? The last new piece of official information was that we are getting an archaeology playground, but that's all we've had, right?

They haven't confirmed a full schedule yet. There is on the Saturday August 30 between 2 PM and 5 PM in Florida presentations on the parks and the Walt Disney Studios portfolio, so that's my bet for updates (7 pm to 10 PM UK Time)Anyone know what time roughly they go through all the news and updates at the expo
Trying to work out if it will be in the middle of the night or not In the UK lol
U think u will get a stream online for it. I’m sure one year u couldn’tThey haven't confirmed a full schedule yet. My only hope is that there will be enough snakes popping out and dropping down everywhere to elicit the same panicky shrieks from children and adults alike that happened when spiders dropped down on the ITtbaB audience. So, he brings us along on the adventure… but will there be snakes?
