EPCOT Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

Now that armchair imagineering is just real (door coaster, Villains Land, change Dino to Indy, put Dr Teeth and the Electric Mayhem in RNRR), I feel like Inside Out in the Cranium Command theater is more likely than Imagination 4.0 being Inside Out featuring Figment.
You could really turn all of WOL into an Inside Out "Mind" pavillion
The franchise has such a large scope of ideas that could be explored at EPCOT

Each section of the pavillion could be themed to a different part of Riley's mind
Imagination Land for playgrounds, Headquarters for M&Gs, Islands of personality for interactive educational elements, etc

It would be a shame to waste Inside Out on just a 3D movie at magic eye

Everyone just assumes the theatre's "cranium" style auditorium is still intact...

Glad that’s not what insiders believe is happening
If "insiders" had any clue at all what was happening with Figment, the pavilion would have been overhauled a decade ago at the minimum. Nothing is happening until TWDC says otherwise.

If Muppetvision can teach us anything, its that any possible scenario can happen. Muppetvision was completely untouchable until two seconds ago. If they can axe a show that beloved, don't think they won't kick figment out of the ride again.

I've been hearing for the last few months that Figment could be as soon as Destination D23 for what it's worth. I think "Hype Moments and Aura" brain have me thinking they're holding it for D23 2026 but if they wanna actively get a move on making EPCOT "fresh" for the 50th, I think it gets announced sooner rather than later.
I hope more this Figment refresh is planned for Epcot.

If they are “turbocharging” investments into the parks additional projects should be in the works.
I am against it because the Inside Out characters are so painfully obvious for the former Wonders of Life Pavilion putting them into Imagination would just be insulting.
Agree wholeheartedly.

The ‘Inside Out’ rumors need to die.
Not happening.

It seems every couple of years this pops up from some random poster and I have to comment here.
This is not happening and it is NOT needed.

The Imagination Pavillion already has its own ‘IP’.
It does NOT need to become yet another casualty caused by yet another unneeded Pixar overlay.

‘Inside Out’ has nothing to do with being imaginative …
Epcot already has ( or more specifically had ) a wonderful imaginative premise for the Pavillion here, along with two highly imaginative custom made characters.
Enough already with the Pixar crap.

One of the major characters from the first film is an imaginary friend. They literally go on a journey into Riley’s imagination.

It’s not the primary focus of the movie, but it would be a better fit than several of the IPs that Disney has shoehorned in places lately.

And its a shallow and basic take on imagination with an imaginary friend character that's even more obnoxious and annoying then the current version of Figment.

Would have rather a Phineas and Ferb 4D attraction where they break the fourth wall of reality causing a mish mash of things tying in something with Perry & Doofenshmirtz, A new song for the film and it all goes back to normal having Candace attempt to Bust the boys still ends in failure...

Ever since he was a child, little Heinz Doofenshmirtz had always dreamed of visiting Imaginationland, his favorite childhood TV show. The show, filled with the adventurous quests of Mayor Dreamfinder and Figment, a world of endless creativity and invention... /s

The Magic Eye Theater has a very long history of having nothing to do with Figment. I’m not really sure what you hope to achieve with your regularly scheduled diatribe. It either stays Pixar shorts or gets updated to some IP or other. Figment isn’t getting two attractions.

I'm guessing a Jungle Book overlay to Kali
Is that a BELOVED attraction, though?

Would today's Disney go through the trouble of revamping a long-abandoned pavilion, though? I can't help but think that a 3D movie in the Magic Eye would probably be cheaper and thus what Iger and his team are more likely to do.
Enough already with the Pixar crap.
I mean, there are some PIXAR movies I think would work fine in EPCOT. WALL-E wouldn't be a bad choice. I think Elemental would be a good choice for a pavilion focusing on the elements. But if they replace Figment with Joy, I'm going to flip out.
One of the major characters from the first film is an imaginary friend.
Considering that he's apparently not even mentioned at any point in the sequel (there's a little origami figurine in Joy's room as an Easter egg. That's all we get), I wouldn't expect any hypothetical Inside Out attraction in the Imagination pavilion to have anything to do with Bing Bong. And if he's not in it, what's the point of going to Imagination Land?

Honestly, I think that's why the idea of putting it in the Magic Eye Theater doesn't bother me. Captain EO and the Short Films Festival don't have anything to do with the imagination either, so putting an Inside Out show in there doesn't seem like it'd be any worse a fit. I honestly think a show would be a better fit for the franchise than a dark ride would anyway - unless it's a book report, the ride would probably just be scene after scene of the Emotions gathered around the control panel in Headquarters. And that would be a very boring dark ride.

Maybe they can claim to be hauling Baxter out for a Figment redo. That'll make it all better /s

I’m torn between my fandom and my desire to have thematic standards.
