EPCOT Figment, well, to be replaced by Figment

Might as well stir the pot and bring up Wonders of Life pavilion again even though Inside Out going in there would break the new neighborhood structure they've created
The neighborhoods were set up so that just about anything could go anywhere short of Nature. The last project for Wonders of Life was quite literally just a dumping ground for any franchise they wanted, and was developed with its new neighborhood in mind. The definitions are so ambiguous that "Celebration" and "Discovery" and be twisted to mean anything.

Changing the ride’s IP to Inside Out with a focus on the emotions rather than the Honey I Shrunk IP, w a focus on the 5 Senses w Figment shoehorned in currently would be missing the point to what actually destroyed the ride in ‘99 & ‘02 to begin with. (Hint: It’s the unneccesary Film IP inclusion & change of theme) Just restore it back to the original with the tech & spfx enhancements w would’ve expected. From the ride’s success, then you can do more with/expand the characters & concept in other mediums. (As what was originally planned before Eisner canned those plans for some reason)

I think giving Figment a new, actually good ride is the play versus making him into a mascot like that.
Im that would be my preference too. But if they wont do a ride without IP, I dont know how thats gonna happen. Anything is better than what we have now.

Ariel's ride sucks too, should we just reduce HER to a mascot?
Her ride is fine. Its nice and cool on a summer day and often has no wait.

It really is a question of whether Figment is considered IP or not. For better or for worse Iger has been somewhat inconsistent about what is considered IP. In the sense that he has (mostly) left the existing non-IP rides alone. I guess if it makes money he considers it successful enough on it's own but he rarely greenlit anything without an IP tie-in. Also my guess is by the time the next iteration opens we will have a new CEO. Whether he/she will actually be a creative or an Iger clone we shall see but it is possible the next person could have the creative sensibilities of an Eisner at best. There will likely never be another Walt figure.

Honestly all of this pavillion would do so well as inside out. I know people love figment, but just make him a mascot - his ride sucks
Wait so, lemmie get this straight. For years and years people say: “bring figment back, make his ride good again, to make him only a mascot while inside out takes the pavilion would be a crime!”

Only to switch up and say: “Yknow, figments ride is bad, we should only make him a mascot and give his ride to someone else. Would be for the best”

What do you all even actually want?

Pushing Figment out of his pavilion RIGHT after closing Muppets would be an insane move.
D’Amaro really just has it out for Dave Goelz.
I mean, just look at how hard he has to force this smile.

Seeing this photo again after MuppetVision closed is so funny to me. Dave and Gonzo look like a father and son posing for a photo while D Amaro is like "Must ... control ... hunger ... for ... frog legs"
