Just paint the building blue 😁

Hmmm…
Which blue for the indoor cars ride building…?
Like a “powder blue” Prius, a “grabber blue” Mustang”, or the battleship Texas…??? 🤔 ;)

You can call it what you want. It’s like the apocryphal story of Eisenhower at Columbia, supposedly building walking sidewalks based on where the students walked in the grass. They may have an SEO or copyright preferred name for something, but how average guests refer to it is something else. How many people ask Universal CMs how to get to “Harry Potter Land” vs their proper names?

You bring up a good point: Disney has conditioned the guests that a new land = approx 2 attractions and dining and shopping experiences reflective of that theme. There’s a large expectation that “Villajns Land” will have 2 attractions and dining and shopping consistent with the Villains theme. So, if the new Cars area has 2 attractions and dining and shopping consistent with that theme, it would feel atypical that it is not a land unto itself.
The only area I can think of that has at least 3 things (attractions, store, or food) that I can think of all based on a single IP that isn't a land is Alice in wonderland at DL.

EDIT: WDW Pirates I think will soon qualify as well with a ride, a bar/tavern, large store, and sometimes a QS. I will amend my previous statement to just include 2 attractions that share and IP.

Pirates is it's own land at the Shanghai park and it is magnificent!!! They have a lot more space....and a gigantic lake full of shipwrecks and scenery....

Surely not
But, they're purposely making sure its not a clone of Cars Land.
MK's Piston Peak section of Frontierland will not feature: Mater's, Luigi's, Radiator Springs Racers, the setting of Radiator Springs, Flo's, Cozy Cone Motel, the Cars meet and greets, and the Radiator Springs shops.
The Piston Peak section of Frontierland will feature: A Cars Rallye Race over different terrain to RSR, a small attraction we don't know yet, and potentially an exit shop in the lodge which is acting as a queue. There has been no mention of new dining in this area.

I mean, at this point why even use the Cars Franchise? They could base it on the old Disney vacation shorts with the Fab 5...and then the mountains could just be mountains....amd not hjave to look like automobile parts... Frontierland could still be Frontierland....and it would be a better fit overall for the park.

Because the Fab 5 are already represented at MK in the Main Street Theater and Storybook Circus with Pete's Silly Sideshow & Barnstormer.

Also the Storybook Circus section of Fantasyland is not Dumbo-Land, even though it has 2 Dumbo themed attractions and Big Top Souveniers and Smelephants on Parade

But Cars were represented as a meet and greet at DHS....so....None of those are real attractions, just meet and greets. Not really representing....and since they removed Mickey's house etc.... there is no real representation of them at the parks...

You said, “surely the only element that is actually similar is that you are in a car shaped ride vehicle?” Purduevian addressed your comment but I didn’t want you to think I was ignoring you. So I just quoted that post, which I thought summed it up well.

That's why I elaborated the main differences between Cars Land at DCA and the Piston Peak section of Froniterland. I just think we shouldn't be comparing the two projects as if they are both single-IP based lands when MK's project has been stated multiple times to not be a Cars Land. It's the same as unfairly comparing Monstropolis at HS to Laugh Floor at MK and Monsters at DCA because they'll all feature Mike Wazowski and the laugh floor/scare floor.

You did get me... Dumbo does have Casey Jr., Dumbo the flying elephant, and Smelephants. Not sure if Big Top is themed to Dumbo or just circus, but the point remains 2(maybe 3 if you count smelephants) Dumbo themed attractions do exist in fantasyland. I will concede and try to stop calling it carsland.

Because kids love Cars. Source ~ have 2 young kids. And at the moment, nothing they’ve shown of what the area will look like will have any egregious automobile parts. From what I can tell it’s really only the piston peaks themselves, and they seem to be portrayed in a very natural formation style.
