Not OP, but I also find it extremely cringe because it basically adds nothing to the conversation and is just a tool to complain, say look at me, and stir up rage. We weren't talking about LL, monetization, or anything like that... posters do it in almost every thread and it's just repetitive and lazy.
Its also company policy.

For the previous question, the land in question is indeed for expansion. Pixar Place isn’t considered permanently onstage enough anymore to become a thoroughfare again.

imagine a large tunnel that passes through and a bunch of smaller branching tunnels to explore, maybe some cool cargo net course type stuff for kids, and artifacts and interactive stuff that help tell more of the Batuu story perhaps. Some stalagtites and cavern exploration stuff would be great imo
While I am usually of the opinion of not caring about "capacity" all that much, I am not sure if such an attraction can work at scale. Tunnels with smaller branching passages seems neat to explore, but a logistical nightmare to keep track of people, managing their flow, it would seem very easy to get bottle necks in one passage/space or the other, especially if there isn't a curated A to B to C type pathflow in/out of the attraction. Something like Journey of Water works i think because it is open air, and you have space to manage crowd flow, and no one bumping into each other in the dark.

I am just imaging if the tunnels at TSI had the numbers of people that an attraction like your suggesting would likely get, and i can't see how it would function efficiently.

True. They'd have to make them super wide, mostly illuminated, and linear from start to finish. Basically Moana with a roof.

Can we stay on topic and not turn this into another LL debate? This is again pointing to why I don't like those posts that just come in and complain about something that was not the topic of this thread...

Anyway... TLDR: WDW does not have a 3rd entrance and instead the berm was built as an expansion plot. Originally this was for the Bantha peoplemover which got cut. If Disney were to put a new attraction in this space, it would require LL.

Going back to my armchair Imagineering on what could go in this space: Family friendly boat ride through the caves of Batuu where you encounter flora and fauna including the Batuuan Braga Bear

The "topic" of the thread is a decade old.

Definitely something that promoted more exploring the land would be great. There are a ton of details throughout the land that I feel like many people rush past

Could also expand on Sue of the data pad in the app or MB+ ... Something the equivalent of the wands in the Wizarding World - maybe can unlock certain paths or something.

Leverage some of what was used in the Starcruiser but is more accessible to more people

How does this compare to the Duck Tales scavenger hunt at Epcot? My kids really liked that one because you could make things move and whatnot in the countries.

It is similar but with some physical effects but some screen based. I definitely think upping the amount and scale of physical effects would be a benefit and also just make it a little less complicated (the data pad app can do a lot so can be hard to navigate / overwhelming for first time users - need to ensure simple process)

I really doubt GE will add walkthroughs or smaller scale things. I'd imagine it's E ticket or bust in that land.

100%, but people should keep this post to SWGE at WDW.
IMHO fair game topics for this thread are:
  • Anything currently featured in SWGE (including attractions, details, food, logistics, characters ect.)
  • Anything that was previously featured in SWGE
  • Anything that was proposed for SWGE but never was built
  • The effect SWGE has on other parts of DHS, WDW, or even Disney as a whole (or how they effect SWGE)
  • Ideas/speculations of what could be coming to SWGE in the future
  • Comments or announcements made about SWGE in the news/online
The topic might be old, but people can still talk about it without conversations that would be best suited in other threads.

On another note... anyone think we might see part of the door coaster from inside SWGE, much like you can see SDD from MFSR queue?

Yup, either that or it can't be a self led walk through. You would either need a ride vehicle, a walking sidewalk type system, or maybe a CM to act as a cave guide.

It would likely go way beyond the scope of a walk through type attraction, but i would love to see them leverage a trackless vehicle system to create a non-linear ride in the sense of say you have the main tunnel, and like 10 branching caves/side tunnels. Each ride through you would only visit 5 of them, and it would be randomized (to the extent possible.) That way you could get something new each time. Maybe even have an 11th branch that is ultra exclusive, like it "opens" only once every 1000+ rides or so. Really add an easter egg type feel to the ride.

To the last question, feels like looking in the direction is pretty blocked ... Maybe though while riding SDD like you can see into GE (and backstage areas)

With Monsters Door Coaster building going back into the Cast member parking lot, kinda feels like an opportunity for future development with another SW themed land/ area between GE and the hotel (WDI new offices), no?
