Ah, I get it now!Was Dancing With Wolves [sic] a western?
What are the key themes of Avatar?
You think they should add Navi and the Mandalorian to Frontierland!

That’s perfectly fair. Once these larger decisions are made by park executives, critique away.I fault Imagineering on execution. And it's usually warranted.
After Epcot's World Celebration I think it's more than just the executives. There seems to be a lot of internal political fights with imagineering that have bubbled up too much and that was a giant result of that. Design by a dysfunctional committee. I don't doubt there are some individual contributors there that are great, but I think the whole org is rotten now. The state of the "Imagination" pavilion is a good measure of how it's doing. That’s p

My God it's not like WDW doesn't have the space to add new things --no they would rather rip out classics --SADThis 100%! I wish everyone would understand these decisions are NOT made by Imagineering. They are given orders by park executives. They are the ones who decided they wanted a cars attraction in Frontierland. They are the ones who decided they wanted the river gone. These are not Imagineering decisions.
I agree all I’m saying is blame the appropriate people. It’s not Imagineering for this decision. I would start with Jeff Vahle. My God it's not like WDW doesn't have the space to add new things --no they would rather rip out classics --SAD
Which is long overdue. Unless they are going to update it, which seems unlikely given they are showing zero interest in doing so.Nope which is why the Speedway is looking to be redeveloped in the not too distant future.
I know a lot of people don't like the speedway... butWhich is long overdue. Unless they are going to update it, which seems unlikely given they are showing zero interest in doing so.
I know you're joking, but the Riverboat will not reappear anywhere in any form. It's ... just too ... well, it's so ... 19th-century.The Speedway is due to be replaced with a futuristic riverside walk. They will add aluminum panels to the Liberty Belle to give it a whimsical futuristic vibe and offer rides. Sadly the peoplemover will have to go to allow the boat to fit.
I'm kidding, but it feels like they would consider this to appease those unhappy about the losses around frontierland.
This would be nice actually. Though perhaps battery-powered bumper boats with futuristic cockpit controls and a digital display. The Speedway is due to be replaced with a futuristic riverside walk.

Yeah the kids do love it. I don’t even necessarily think it needs to go away completely but a major update would be good. If they’re never going to do that then perhaps the space can be better utilizedfeels like the time to have done that was when they shortened the track and put in Tron ... I think retheming the speedway to make it look Tron-like and be electric, etc would have been great, but they didn't and it does seem rather out of place
on the flip side it is my 13-year old sons favorite attraction at WDW (he did it 5 times our last trip) and I know he isn't alone in liking it as still has demand - just feels very dated

Which is why it never received the EV treatment during the TRON addition. Such a waste of space, lets just hope they can try to add capacity to that area.Nope which is why the Speedway is looking to be redeveloped in the not too distant future.
I just don't know what they'd be able to build in the space of the speedway if it's not going to be a ground level attraction.
A big show building wouldn't fit in there.
Really puts it into perspective. Could put like 6 spinners on that spot and then some. Good Lord! So much potential, wasted.
