Can I interest you is a space punch premix?
You think the bourbon flight is premix?

In design critique land those barrel chairs are out of place, everything else is a tetrahedral? design and these are hexagons?
1. barrel chairs are round. sse is round.

2. the triangular panels can be tiled to make tetrahedrons and hexagons.

Norway had a nice one upstairs with items on display, conference room, banquet space, and a small theater area that use to show a different film on Norway than what was downstairs. While its still there I think its been stripped of anything Norwegian, of course. :banghead:
Had the pleasure of spending some time up there back in 2007.
Lovely space, with some neat Norwegian art pieces and cultural displays.
The vintage 70s WDW plastic tumblers they were still using to serve beverages in were also a plus for this old school Park nerd.

The most entertaining part however was using the restroom.
As you were in there doing your thing….you could easily hear the ‘Spirit of Norway’ film playing loudly in the theatre directly below you!
That was a bit surreal….

Welcome to the Delta Skyclub. Please scan your American Express card to enter. Simple, easy, dumbed down, Gensler forward design work in this one. It would be a lot cooler if they put the Horizon Butler in it.

Better than a private lounge. I'll still drink there, just could have been something meaningful.
What Delta Skyclub have you been to? Because the one I was at last week was not even close to this.

Well that is a big part of my comment - drinks need to actually be well crafted to be worth it

Angular chairs don't sound too comfortable, so think those will work just fine but willing to wait until I see it in person to judge

And this view seems to show a consistency with the chairs

On the misses, meets or exceeds expectations scale, I would give it a meets expectations. Entry area looks pretty cool and lounge is nice enough. Obviously. they would have had to work very hard to mess up those nice views. No super interesting surprises or ideas to make it top tier.

Curious about the music and whether I'll feel like staying in there and drinking with Epcot all around me - but I cant complain about a new option for adults. To use the obvious pun, Disney did not drop the geodesic sphere. When is Epcot Center history trivia night??

Looks quite nice to me. I would have gone with less gold, but that's more a question of personal taste.

The one thing from the images and videos that I have seen that I would have changed is the artwork in the small lounge area. It fits the style of the bar, but looks too AI-generated. Perhaps Herb Ryman concept art wouldn't have fit the aesthetic, but it would have been nice if they could have done something with that. I don't know, perhaps it is hard to do digital art these days that doesn't look like AI.

Between this and the DVC preview centre in Canada, it's surprising so much of their hotel design has been so lacklustre in recent years.

Not sure why you are calling me darling, but you do you

And I am sure people will do that

But even if you order a drink that ain't the $179/person you stated to "access" it
You’re going to run up a hefty bar tab with cocktails that cost around $30 a piece. It is definitely not “free” to access.

Don’t normalize stupid.

Contemporary decor is contemporary decor.

Don't know why people are surprised to see contemporary decor in places of WDW which use contemporary decor.

Was anyone expecting a four year old girl's Disney Princess decor?

No props for not using a Disney movie IP?

I'll probably never step foot in it. Too expensive. And I don't drink. The only two non-alcoholic drinks look like they have ingredients that are toxic.

Maybe I'll check out that new restaurant in the Japan pavilion. Surely, that can't be too expensive...

That isn't "access", that is the cost of what you are obtaining ala carte which could be lower or higher.

And prices seem pretty standard to me for a high end lounge/bar - just actual drinks need to deliver to that level
