EPCOT New GEO-82 Spaceship Earth Lounge Coming to EPCOT

Went there tonight and really enjoyed it. Just a nice vibe and enough theming details but more just a nice lounge. We just had a regular reservation for 7:35, got seated closer to 8. Definitely were some open tables so think they aren't filling it. Looked like all the firework package tables were used.

We were seated at a table in the corner but up at the windows - so think we had a solid firework view for not paying for the package. Everything we had food and drink wise was great. Standouts were the highball, the strawberry black pepper sour and the tuna.

Definitely would go back, though probably not an every trip thing

It had rained a lot so were water drops on the windows - wish they had a squeegee system or something lol

View we had:

New menu for Geo-82

Don't like the bitter taste of alcohol? How about if we made non-alcoholic specialty drinks and made them more bitter than any alcoholic drink on the planet!!1! You're welcome!!1!

It's funny that this pops up Now. we were there on the fourth and took a chance. And just walked in with no reservation. Just to see and they actually said they had availability. And took us up right away, this was around 1 ish
we had just won a $50 gift card from some raffle thing my wife entered at the apartments where we live. The brown butter old-fashioned was decent, but no way I would have done it without that gift card. one and done for me. I was not impressed.

I think part of the problem is that a bar needs atmosphere, not just decor. People, energy, a dress code above sneakers and back packs. The same thing happens on DCL cruises. The nightlife is always better on the promotional video, than reality. If GEO-82 was hopping, and of course had good bartenders pouring, it would be better than at 1 PM with no one really there. Pleasure Island please: Carpe PM.

Did the pre-fixe viewing of Luminous last summer with my mom, who is older - had a lovely time and better than her being jostled in the heat - pricey even by NYC standards (where I live), so likely not a regular spot.
