I rode Tuesday when the ride was up and down a ton (I mean, when is it not anymore?), and the rockwork overhead near the final turn into the station was like a shower. Clearly something was leaking above the rockwork and we got stuck there, before the bridge, for a good 8 minutes with these fat water drops just coming down. They got the ride reopened before they evacuated us, but it looks like they were just going to keep the ride going with the rockwork raining down on logs.
The ghost of Tony Baxter sobbing? Br'er Rabbit playing with a super soaker from Defunctland?

Yes
Tony I am sure cried a few tears on the final day of operation of ‘Splash Mountain’ at Disneyland.

He was there most of the day and rode a few times with friends to say his ‘goodbyes’ to this creation he has a major hand in making a reality.

Here he is holding vials of official ‘flume water’ from the Attraction on that final day, after one of his ride throughs…..

A day full of mixed emotions for many of us …..and I was crying too.

We lost something special.
All of us.

Not sure if you've seen the video of him actually on the ride nearly breaking as he says his goodbyes.

First Tiana AA wasn’t moving at all with her head down. Worst show I’ve seen for a prominent AA perhaps ever. It’s the only thing on that lifthill. They were better off putting nothing there.
Strange. My sister went a few days ago and the entire ride was working very smoothly with no frozen animatronics (she sent me clips of the lift hill, was doing fine). While she preferred Splash (specifically Tokyo's splash as a more recent frame of reference with high maintenance), TBA was reportedly on par (this is coming from a non-Disney fan/frequenter).

Ghost? He's still alive lol and Br'er Rabbit is still frolicking in Japan

I also wish they would find a better solution for the train peek in. The first chunk of the peek in is still covered. I wonder if it is the fact that the new scene is set at night vs day which makes them want to block out more ambient light. But...once again...shouldn't they have thought of these things BEFORE???

The train was like the best part also. It was always so cool to go through the finale and look up and see the train. Or, it was awesome to ride the train and peek into the finale.

It's like WDI looked at Splash Mountain and became hell bent on destroying everything fun about it.

I'll be honest, Tiana's has become a skip for us, but not because of the ride story but because of the system. Specifically, you just get way too wet on the ride at the moment, to the point that it is not enjoyable. I've only gone on it twice since it reopened, once during the opening weekend and once a few weeks ago because I was with my brother and he had not been on it since it was remade. Otherwise, we just skip the ride because we'd rather not have to walk around with soaked shoes and wet clothes for hours.

They can redo some of the story parts to make it better, sure, but the ride itself needs a redo so that you aren't miserable after.
