A phased closure of Muppets Courtyard begins next week as Disney prepares to close the entire area for an all-new Monsters Inc. land

The image of Jim Henson as a Muppet referred to in the post (made sure to get a (blurry, apparently) photo last time we went
In a just world Stage One would have been open for years instead of just leaving it closed while making all of the Muppet merch WDI exclusive…In a just world they'd use Stage One for Muppet-Vision Goodbye merch.

My guess is that this closure was relatively unexpected so there wasn’t time for merch teams to get things produced. It usually takes at least a year to get designs approved and merch produced. If it really was up in the air between Muppets and Launch Bay, I can’t imagine the merch teams had enough time to produce anythingbeyond the specific location, kind of interesting they haven't been selling any "Goodbye Muppet*Vision" merch

It's more like a war memorial. Why would you want to remember the pizza at PizzaRizzo?

My stomach still remembers my bite from yesterday (first and last)
I got to see Muppet-Vision for the final time on May 2. I also wanted to have dinner at Mama Melrose, but all reservations were gone.

In all honesty i'm glad they'll at least preserve the show in some form, even if it's not going to be the same. I'll also miss the beautiful fountain in front of the theater.
I do kind of wish they had started the boundaries of where Monsters Inc Land was. I mean, the Muppets themselves are monsters. Not the same monsters, by any means, but still "monsters" too. I'm still very sad that MV3D is going away, at least in it's current form.
I don't do thrill rides/roller coasters, so i'll also miss out on the Muppet RNR.
I know you’re joking but they’re actually keeping the fountain. Still a chance they just fill it with plants, though.THAT'S why they are doing this. They discovered another fountain and immediately thought, "Whelp, that's got to go!" Creating the coaster was just an excuse to kill the fountain. Those sneaking water-hating gits!!
It's been done before!I know you’re joking but they’re actually keeping the fountain. Still a chance they just fill it with plants, though.
I don’t think the pizza is that bad but the size is unfortunate. My first bite was my last bite.
I live in New Haven, CT. That rat pizza isn’t pizza.I don’t think the pizza is that bad but the size is unfortunate.
