Puts things in perspective regarding the closing of MuppetVision 3D.

The image of Jim Henson as a Muppet referred to in the post (made sure to get a (blurry, apparently) photo last time we went

beyond the specific location, kind of interesting they haven't been selling any "Goodbye Muppet*Vision" merch
My guess is that this closure was relatively unexpected so there wasn’t time for merch teams to get things produced. It usually takes at least a year to get designs approved and merch produced. If it really was up in the air between Muppets and Launch Bay, I can’t imagine the merch teams had enough time to produce anything

I got to see Muppet-Vision for the final time on May 2. I also wanted to have dinner at Mama Melrose, but all reservations were gone.

In all honesty i'm glad they'll at least preserve the show in some form, even if it's not going to be the same. I'll also miss the beautiful fountain in front of the theater.

I do kind of wish they had started the boundaries of where Monsters Inc Land was. I mean, the Muppets themselves are monsters. Not the same monsters, by any means, but still "monsters" too. I'm still very sad that MV3D is going away, at least in it's current form.

I don't do thrill rides/roller coasters, so i'll also miss out on the Muppet RNR.

Dinoland and It's Tough to Be a Bug are/have left without so much as a generic pin for fans to buy.

I don't think Disney is interested in cashing in on the "something to remember it by" market, for some reason.

Which is insane, because they released that PizzaRizzo pin recently (seemingly a coincidence) and it was getting snatched up all over.

THAT'S why they are doing this. They discovered another fountain and immediately thought, "Whelp, that's got to go!" Creating the coaster was just an excuse to kill the fountain. Those sneaking water-hating gits!!
