A Monster's Inc for WDW is so long overdue, and even if the land is more so for the Door Coaster, why not just have the coaster and land take half and let another half be Muppets. For as tired as some people are of the nostalgic posters, I'm far more tired of those who disdain nostalgia and pass off monumental theme park alterations as "Things change." They could demolish Spaceship Earth, too. Would that just be "things change" too?
In the Muppets' case, this is something that definitely shouldn't be changing. It's Jim Henson's final project. Leave it alone, for heaven's sake. We're not gaining anything from this stupid Monsters show no one asked for. We're just losing a piece of Henson's legacy, and that is appalling to me.
The only reason they’re closing Muppets is because they don’t want to have to build new brick buildings for Monstropolis. That’s it. They could have so much more space in the Animation Courtyard, but that would require building new buildings instead of just retrofitting old ones, and Disney wants to spend as little as possible.I can get behind the concept of things change when there is a necessity for it. There is so much underutilized space at Studios (and all the parks). Closing a beloved attraction (and one that could easily be sectioned off from the new area) seems unnecessary. That's where this is highly frustrating and seems beyond the traditional "things change" argument.
Yep. Just cheap, unoriginal cash grabs. “What if family friendly thing was scary” is every untalented writer’s favorite trope because they think they’re a genius for doing it.Anyone else hate that these movies exist?
To be fair, Walt barely worked on the last few films he “worked” on. He was much more interested in the parks, and mainly just approved things for the films. I think the last one he truly worked on was Sleeping BeautyYou mean the last animated feature movie Walt Disney worked on - the one that doesn't have a namesake attraction or adequate IP representation in all of Walt Disney World or Disneyland?
Yeah, weird isn't it.
PizzeRizzo could be revived via a pizza window to get slices! Put it to the left of the entrance to the RnRC areaMuppets Landing > Muppet Studios entryway facade > E-ticket Muppets RnRC > C-ticket MuppetVision3D > A-ticket Muppet Babies Splash Play Area > themed food trucks and kiosks

What’re the odds the economic difficulties on the horizon cause Monstropolis to be downscaled or even cancelled, and we lost the Muppets for nothing?
Forgot about live action! I was thinking of just animated filmsHe “truly worked” on Mary Poppins
Hopefully. If I were to guess, AC will be Zootopia, Moana, or some future IP we haven’t seen yet that’ll be the new Frozen/Moana.maybe being too optimistic but I do think they may have larger plans for Animation Courtyard and this is a quicker win for DHS than what it will take for the work at AC (moving people currently in the office building there, etc)
I think Monstopilis will happen as planed, and if there are a change or delay of plans it is to what will eventually happen to AC
Why Disney's breakout hit, Wish of course! The Kingdom of Rosas nestles perfectly between Tower of Terror and Little Mermaid. /sHopefully. If I were to guess, AC will be Zootopia, Moana, or some future IP we haven’t seen yet that’ll be the new Frozen/Moana.
Are they gonna AI generate the ideas for the land too? It’d match the script and the music…Why Disney's breakout hit, Wish of course! The Kingdom of Rosas nestles perfectly between Tower of Terror and Little Mermaid. /s
Mama Melroses still closes on the 10th so I guess not. Muppets closes in June right? Why is Melroses closing so early and not along with it at the same time? AVP is on its first generation, and the company has made it clear that their market for it right now is techies with cash to blow and developers. It's not a mass market device, but they want it to be. It will get cheaper and more readily available in time, and not a bad option to host MV3D on. It would be better than just throwing the film on Disney+, and certainly better than nothing. It would be a colossal fail if Muppetvision 3D is put on a $5k headset (that was basically DOA to begin with, since AR has just never really taken off) that could never replicate the original experience of the show. The removal of Muppetvision 3D is the final nail in the coffin to MGM studios to me, even though there's Tower of Terror, virtually anything that made MGM "MGM" is gone now.
No, and it's honestly kind of weird that some people do. You can not like the concept (it's tired and I'm sure the movie itself is not good) but I'm very happy that Mickey is now in the hands of people who can do whatever they want with him. By that nature I also have to be cool with bad Mickey horror movies existing.Anyone else hate that these movies exist?

Nah... I see the posters and think of it as a real-life meme. So I'm content with them.Anyone else hate that these movies exist?
Supposedly muppets is closing early to save money. Operations doesn’t want to staff muppets, mermaid, and Villians. Too much $$$ for a struggling operation like Disney parks.
Mama Melrose will most likely be in the active construction area and it needs to close.
I’m still hoping that universal is planning to replace marvel superhero island and we could get a proper marvel land in this spot.Hopefully. If I were to guess, AC will be Zootopia, Moana, or some future IP we haven’t seen yet that’ll be the new Frozen/Moana.
