Again, a sleek hotel that is owned by Disney vs. an ugly industrial water treatment plant owned by the city. They knew it was there, and they could have taken every possible step to hide it. They didn't.


They're largely fictional toys. What scale? This is the first time I have ever seen this complaint anywhere.

Please let me know where, in the WDW parks, I can find a view like this. This is really bad. We should not see this in a premium park.

I seriously didn't want to dwell this hard on the park's negative aspects because there's a lot to love. But man... come on.

Are you going to mention this is not at ground level like you you stated parks should not have such bad views of earlier, but in a taller elevated part of Stardust Racers?
Coaster Studios also was realistic. They said it was one unfortunate spot in a park full of great ones.

It's like 20 feet off the ground and part of the queue! You can also see this when walking into the queue from ground level, the view is just enhanced on the second level of the queue. YES this is different than being 50 feet in the air ON the ride!

This is the most glaringly bad view but it is far from the only bad view. YouTubers avoid heavy criticism to be treated favorably, news at 11:00.

Whether from Toon Lagoon Ampitheater or wondering what the heck Camp Minnie Mickey was and exploring thus odd thing called Pocahontas and her forest friends like an odd flat painted theater. Asia was also confusing. Dinoland as.many hate it was not even that yet. Tents that you were told were bone exhibits.

And those were things you were invited to see, not a few backstage views that are not begged or focal points. ( And can be easily fixed as time goes on)

With 10% more effort, Universal could have shown them up. It feels like literally 10%. That's why this is frustrating.

Maybe 10% more money?

My main focus is on the 90%. I’ll take that everyday and be extremely happy about it. It’s rare that we see close to 90% nowadays.

That is not the definition of owning it in terms of a hotel, Tishman and Metlife raked in money and the nomenclature you notice is specific about that hotel, but I will be clear to it being an sightline that Disney should own up to over EPCOT.

And here is one from two recent Magic Kingdom openings less than 20 feet off the ground, that is somehow excused because of what company and during ride time where you should not see it, rather than a ledge on an elevated extended queue.

The toys are still different sizes related to each other. They even sell full size versions of the characters that you can compare to other toys like Jenga blocks or K’Nex. The lack of a consistent scale is not new and not hard to miss.

I just think there’s a lot of bad ones! Especially from Universal.

On that note on Pirates, Pan (Tokyo) and Pirates (Shanghai) are sublime and in many ways are more impressive than their equally still great practical progenitors.

Having been on Tokyo’s Pan not seven days ago, that is a dog of a ride that I can’t believe got off the drawing board. With its dodgy resolution, stutter inherent to 3d projections, limited vehicle base movement, minimal flight choreography, and visually impaired field of vision, there is never a single second in this ride where it actually feels like you are flying. How it’s possible that they conceived and built a modern Pan attraction where the sensation of flight is less convincing than a ride that has already existed for nearly seventy years baffles me. And that isn’t even the ride’s cardinal sin.

Ehh... DAK was underbuilt, but in its current state is comparable to Epic and it will have more attractions (as in not just rides) than Epic when the Dinoland and TTBAB replacements are complete.

Its surprisingly close though for a 20 year old park vs a new park. Its basically even right now if we cut out things that aren't open yet (encanto, zootopia, and carousel) at 15 vs 16 attractions each

They gave Tishman the design. Michael Graves was hired by Disney, not Tishman. That was part of the deal that Eisner made, in order to control the design Disney agreed to pay for it.

My immediate reaction seeing this is it reminds me of the view from Test track, a 20 year old ride that still has horrible sight lines.

Doesn’t excuse it but it’s unfortunately not a rare view at any of the worlds most highly themed parks. I think the Galaxys edge views from BTM at DL are still worse though, hills on sticks visible from one of the most highly themed coasters ever made still drives me crazy, had they spent 1% more and extended those hills to the building they’d completely fit in.
