"Wish bombed at the box office it shouldn't get a float"

Tell that to the imagineers that designed Electrical Parade and gave Alice almost 10 floats

So many Disney movies struggled in their initial run and only found an audience (and made a profit) in time, through reissues, home video, and Disney Parks showcasing them

You can like or dislike any movie, but saying it shouldn't be featured based on box office is plain wrong
They're building and Encanto ride as we speak and both movies made the same amount of money
I've heard that Pete's Dragon had problems, but I didn't know Alice did too...

He's in Paint the Night - not saying he can't also be here but might want to keep them different

Meh, I don't exactly associate Disney with variety right now or even in this parade (Peter Pan in both day and night parades, another night time thing with a bunch of dancing princesses, more Frozen, more Moana) might as well repeatedly highlight something cool since it's going to be repetitive anyway.

"Needs more Fantasia" is an on-going complaint I have for all things Disney parks.

Certainly possible but I would expect to not use the same version of Mickey as another parade but we shall see

Fantasia in general certainly can fit the parade though

If they're actively trying to make certain floats tie in with a "wishing star" theme, then I'll be surprised if Princess and the Frog isn't one of the remaining floats.

Could also do an Aladdin themed one with the carpet flying through the clouds and starry sky. Hercules could also work if they lean into the conselllation/planets aligning motif.

And yes, Sorcerer's Apprentice would be an appropriate choice for Mickey for some obvious reasons too. Even if they do have Fantasmic next door.

But if you wanna get into movies that flopped heavily and developed a pretty decent cult following in the many years following AND could fit nicely with a parade about stars, then I'd throw out Treasure Planet. Maybe too many pirates alongside Hook though.

Tiana is in the concept art for the princess float so I don’t think there’s going to be a princess and the frog one.

I forgot about that. Too bad. Not sure how I feel about the "toss a handful of our spare princesses onto this generic one" float. It's pretty and all, but kind of lazy and cheap to just consolidate them all into one generalized one. At least when these parades are already much shorter than the pre-2000s ones. PtN does this as well for a couple of princesses who didn't get their own float (I think they rotate out different ones, but I know Rapunzel and Cinderella are sometimes on it).
