News Disney World Summer 2025 Deals: Half-Off Kids Tickets, Free Dining Plan, and More

Disney says the kid ticket offer is unprecedented.

I went back to the 2007-2009 financial crisis to find a comparable. In 2010 they did a "Kids stay and play free" offer. But not during summer and only for a month.

We've been saying since last year that their internal survey data from young families said it was unaffordable. And given the "nostalgia" they depend on, skipping a generation would've been disasterous.

I wonder if this can also be counter-programming to Epic, targeting the families with kids too young to really appreciate most of Epic

Not sure if that would really have the impact as it does exclude MK, which would be the lure to get the younger families over in the first place. Marie

Assuming however you could stack the discounted kids tickets on the room only savings though, correct? We really aren't dining plan people to begin with so we'd probably do better with the room savings in general. Trying to figure out some sort of short three/four night trip to see starlight in late summer.
No.

Last year they also did the 4 day, 4 park ticket deal for $99/day ... This year only doing the 3 non-MK park version

So some new deals (kids tickets) but also some less
Until they (mercifully) change management…I think we’ll look back at this as the “viscous cycle” period in parks history

More revenue required from parks -> price increases and cuts -> reduced attendance from prices -> more increases and cuts -> discounting to claw back losses -> start at step 1 again

It’s just bad management…that’s all it is. You don’t set your market…the market tells you where it is and it moves. No way to control that.

You bought an AP? Un-freaking-believable. You have officially lost any bit of credibility you had.
That would matter if I ever claimed credibility…which I don’t

I’m just an observer with a long history like many.

But I’ll flesh this out a bit.

We’re all damned if you do…or don’t. If we don’t speak first hand…we’re dismissed as unqualified. If we do it…we’re labeled as part of the problem. Neither is fully false or true.

My last pass was 2018. It was a dvc premium (no restrictions and all gates) for $469+

Since I have been far less frequently…but still there…and dumping $400-$600 for 3-5 days is aggravating

So I lost part of my leg last fall…was in septic shock/organ failure. Real close. Scary stuff when you’re my age. This was my first traveling after 6 months. We were there for a couple of birthdays (adults only) for the weekend. I always consider bumping a ticket to a pass…but never do it. My wife - who is a far bigger critic of the prices than I am of that 5’0” sweatered lying rat in charge…said she wanted to get the pass.

Sold. I was shocked but I think we both understand it was comfort for my head as much as anything. No illusions.

And what put me over is the low crowds. The result of that putrid management

This is once again the sleazy bait and switch approach Disney takes with their promotions.

Ticket Offer good for all parks....except the MK.

Free Dining...but you have to pay full price on hotel and tickets. AP Holder? Oh well.

Promotion valid for Hotel stays Sunday - Thursday. Rack Rate Friday - Saturday.

Free Water Park on day of checkin. Arriving later in the day like most people who fly in are? (Tough Luck!)

50% off on Cruise Itinerary Deposit! (Spoiler Alert you still have to pay it!)

Lower initial AP Installment Deposit! Well your monthly is going up because of it.

It's a joke. No wonder they can't fill their hotels and their parks are struggling, they think you the guest are a moron.

as GREEDY as Disney has gotten, you would think that by now they would have a dining plan for OFF-SITE guests!
You would think

But that doesn’t fit the blue ocean
Model

The lack of customers in the restaurants is truly something to behold
Definitely less occupied than off months during the priority seating era

So around St Patrick's Day I was onsite and had a lovely breakfast at Boma. I was expecting some of my other friends so I tried to get a reservation for a table for 4 people on the day before ( I had a reservation for myself) Literally I had any breakfast time we wanted to pick from. It was pretty incredible!! Pretty odd for a breakfast slot in the middle of Spring Break. Marie

This is the upside-down 'downcharge.'

Raise prices and see who can afford them and buy into them.

Then, discount the rest.

Anyhoo, my three trips in the past year in Oct, Dec, and Feb were all 30% off room rate AP discounts.

Ah, so YOU are the reason why I couldn't find peanut butter, jelly, bread, or sardines anywhere I looked, you freeloading annual passholder, you...

Wait wait WAIT a minute. Bob said during the annual shareholder meeting that he was there at the same time and the parks were packed. He can't lie during those meetings, as we all know, so he's telling us the truth and you're both lying.

I can't even type that with a straight face... 🤣 🤣

I understand you had breakfast with a handsome young go getter.
