That’s my take also, I think her emotional rant was how she truly felt and her apology was a business decision.

You're right, I don't. I expect that people can follow a thread string. I know you and a few others here are big on yelling at people who don't read an entire article or comment on a show or movie without seeing it... So what's different? because you support Zegler? Odd thing isn’t it. Businesses would be far better off going back to being apolitical. Far better to say nothing and let people make up their own minds as opposed to endorsing something and having half the country disliking you.
You’re making a rhetorical point rather than offering an actual answer to my post. What should she have done to make amends after having said what she did? Or do you believe, as others here seem to, that her words rose to the level of being absolutely unforgivable?
Honestly my take away is this forum is just a Disney version of HuffPo. It’s exhausting and I have better things to do.
I think redemption is earned over time, eventually people will forgive and forget, as long as someone’s actions mirror their words, but simply saying oops, my bad, is meaningless without follow through.

I don’t personally care what she said, it doesn’t impact me. Seems it sure has or might her employer.
I agree that someone should follow through on their apology and prove they mean it. But I don’t see that as a barrier to accepting an apology, even if only provisionally, when it is initially offered.
I emphasised “after”. She can’t turn back time, so what should she have done following her mistake? To make my question more relatable perhaps, what should a poster here who says something inappropriate do to make up for it? Or is redemption impossible?
Forced? You have any proof of that or is this just an assumption on your part? How do you know she didn't come to terms with it herself and retracted what she said after thinking about it. This is called personal growth. Or do you think personal growth is not possible for a 23 year old?
