No it’s pretty identifiable as AI. You’re kidding yourself if you think people can’t pick that up.

I don’t mind engaging with people - even if they are using AI in good faith - but I don’t believe that was how you were using it.

I would much rather hear the actual opinions of real people on this forum even if they are expressed in less than perfect form.
Agreed, we have posters who don't speak English very well or have writing styles that aren't perfect by any means, and yet we all interact with them just fine, differences of opinions and disagreements alike. I too rather interact with someone that can put their own thoughts down in a post rather than filter it through an AI generator.

Yeah I don’t block any posters no matter how much I disagree with them
Well, I'll be here 20yrs in April. I've never blocked anyone. As I see it, if I'm that upset with a poster, I just don't interact with them. It always surprises me when posters don't like what I have to say, continue to engage, and then be all, another one going on ignore! Lol. If someone is really being insulting or hateful, let the mods take care of it.

Sometimes people choose to put someone on ignore even if they aren’t being insulting or hateful.

There are posters who by their own admission have said the same thing “thousands of times.” Others seem to crave attention and say outrageous stuff to get it.

In the end, it’s an individual decision that doesn’t say anything either way about the person choosing it.

Yea I get that. It's just odd to me.

As I mentioned, sometimes you just have to do it to maintain your sanity as its easier to just not see those posts from a specific poster. The feature is there for a reason, even if its not used.

No-one claimed this, at least not in this forum. Most reasonable people here blamed the films' failure on factors that had nothing, or very little, to do with their inclusion of gay characters.
Your Lightyear timeline is way off. The assault on that film began well before its release. News of the same-sex couple leaked and the hate network launched a full court press. They had already begun an attack by that point because Tim Allen was replaced.
No one is denying that there were a great many factors contributing to the failure of Disney’s 2023 slate, factors that interacted in complicated ways. Perceived quality certainly played a part. The dispute is whether the hate network had a significant impact (not the MOST significant - let’s say top 5). I’d argue that it’s naive at best, disingenuous at worst to look at the last several years and claim it didn’t.
I think these comments illustrate how intractable this topic is. To my understanding, neither poster objects to Disney including gay characters in these movies. But one says it had nothing or little do with the films' failures while the other says it's naïve to think it didn't (because of the response by certain groups of people).

From the articles I’ve seen lately Disney seems to think it did, but others say those articles are just spinning for something. Who really knows? I don't think we'll ever reach a consensus on this topic. Maybe that's why it keeps coming up.

@Casper Gutman probably does assign more weight to those factors than I do, but the notion that he was claiming that these films would have been wildly successful if not for some nefarious conspiracy is a crude and derisive caricaturisation of what he said. I don’t see how reasonable discussion is possible when certain posters (not you, I hasten to add) seem unwilling or unable to respond to others sincerely and in good faith.

OK, now Mufasa is petering out. Number 3 for the last 3 days, closer to half a million per day.

"Petering out," but probably with at least 30m/60m left to rake in. Decent chance of hitting $700m WW when all is said and done.

It's still running with a full complement of screenings at theaters near me, even with all of the Oscars movies being re-released and with Dog Man arriving this weekend.

As Buford points out, I never stated that the rage campaign was the sole or primary cause for the failures of certain films. Disney certainly believes it had some pronounced impact, however, since they are censoring their product, authorizing tens of millions in reshoots, settling or dropping lawsuits they were likely to win, and otherwise taking extraordinary measures to attempt to placate the rage network.

IMO… whether a Disney film has representation or not Will not make a difference between a blockbuster or a flop… but it can be a factor… it is more nuanced then that…the angry grifters are aware of that….they pick their battles to prove that the public is with them….there is plenty “woke”material to dissect in Inside Out and Deadpool…. But they left it alone once they were going to be clear succeses
