Thank God all these trackless rides feel the exact same and break down constantly. An omnimover is perfect for what animal kingdom needs. You might want to lean the other way![]()
Feels like they are being careful to not destroy any pieces of TriceraTop Spin, doesn’t it?Dino-Rama Signage Removed as TriceraTop Spin Disassembly Progresses at Disney's Animal Kingdom

As a warning to other lands that if they don’t stick to the straight-and-narrow, they’re next in line to be put-down?Wow, they're moving quick on this! Also, the site that must not be named mentioned that a construction worker removing the Dinosaur Treasures sign had a GoPro on their helmet. I wonder if that video will ever get released
When they close Blizzard Beach for refurb. So, speaking of tropical places, when are they going to reopen Typhoon Lagoon?![]()
I wouldn’t be surprised if they sold it to an amusement park somewhere. It’s a pretty generic ride without any blatant Disney IP.Feels like they are being careful to not destroy any pieces of TriceraTop Spin, doesn’t it?
Could have just bulldozed it.
Could just be to salvage replacement parts for other spinners, though.
There was an earlier discussion about moving it to TSL. I don't see how it would fit.Feels like they are being careful to not destroy any pieces of TriceraTop Spin, doesn’t it?

It’ll have an awesome queue but let’s hope the ride is better than Mermaid.
I’d say Nemo is, although it was technically a downgrade of the preexisting seacab attractionIs Mermaid the worst Omnimover they've ever built? There's probably something worse somewhere, but it shouldn't be hard to outdo it.
There were some modest garden-style exhibits included with early layouts for TA. I'm not sure if they've survived development.Regarding living animals, the park already has several South American animals in the entrance area (I think tamarins, Galapagos tortoises, anteaters and parrots). I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to find some room in Tropical Americas for small animal exhibits to expand this collection (or to relocate some of the current animals from the oasis).
Add some capibaras and coatis, a couple of small terrariums (poison frogs, snakes, lizards, turtles) integrated in the village or the Indy ruins and maybe a small aviary. There's no need for a big facility for jaguars or bears, just a couple of small animal facilities would do wonders for this new area.
You are thinking too smart and efficient. Disney would never go for it.I think they'd be better off just swapping out the vehicles and putting the mechanism elsewhere. Toy Story Land needs an integrated playground that adds to the scenery and explorability of the land, not a fourth junior ride. While the space in TSL is not optimally utilized, I'd honestly just tuck the spinner away until they pull the Moana plans off the shelf. The kakamora overlay was actually a good idea since it would sensibility mask the mechanism in a believable in-universe way.
I really don't think Mermaid is that bad, just nowhere near to the level it should have been which makes it a disappointment. Is Mermaid the worst Omnimover they've ever built? There's probably something worse somewhere, but it shouldn't be hard to outdo it.
The gift shop is easily the bigger loss than Triceratop. I'd rather see that reincarnated somewhere like T Rex Cafe at Springs than TriceraTop Spin move somewhere else.Dino-Rama Signage Removed as TriceraTop Spin Disassembly Progresses at Disney's Animal Kingdom
