It’s a balancing act. I hope the word “Christmas,” always has a place at the parks (And Hanukkah and Kwanza and any other winter holiday that makes more people feel included—I’d rather celebrate multiple specific holidays than none). And I realize the people writing press releases and promo text in the era of social media have to take many things—including their careers—into consideration.
That "balancing act" you're referring to removed "Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls" from a 50 year old parade. Doesn't seem like very much balancing is going on. It seems very much tilted one way.
