Like I said, I was only there less than 4 days. We are going back this fall for 5 1/2 days, so who knows?

No, you need to limit the number you sell. But as willmark said, you need enough attractions you can handle letting people ride multiple times in a row.

Honestly it's a much bigger indictment of how Disney has fallen. We would go regional every once in a while cause it was cheap and easy, but it was in no way comparable, just a fun other thing to do. The last 5 years, they have started becoming more comparable. Not the theming (though there seems to be a push at the regional level to get more theming going), but the cleanliness/service/operations are absolutely on the same level of WDW at this point, and at a cost of around 1/5th the price. Now, that's with saying my regional park comparison is Cedar Point, so one of the best of them.

The Herschend Parks (Silver Dollar City and Dollywood) can really give Disney a run for money / value.

LOL these are my local options:
28 people rescued after getting stuck upside down on Oaks Park ride
People on the ride "AtmosFear" said they were stuck upside down for about 25 to 30 minutes, and one was hospitalized. AtmosFear will be closed until further notice.

But I've been a season pass holder for Busch Gardens Williamsburg and King's Dominion, and in my mind, I'd never even compare those with Disney parks.

I think it's hard to compare because it's so subjective. It's kind of like how people who love NYC absolutely rave about the magic of NYC and when I stand in Times Square I'm just like... "I don't get it. What is supposed to be happening here? What amazing experience am I supposed to be having?" If I say Strasburg Pa is 10x better, they can point out that NYC is objectively elebenty billion times bigger and has thousands of things to do, but people like what they like.

We go for the train station but I really do love the vibe there! All rolling countryside and Amish carts driving along the road, it's so serene.

I only go to PA for Hershey Park, Knoebels, Kennywood, Waldameer and Dorney.

Yeah! I love spending a couple days there when the railroad is doing an event - like when 611 visited. Between the railroad museum, model trains, and Strasburg Railroad I can spend lots of time there and there are several little local restaurants that I enjoy - speckled hen for Breakfast and coffee!

Ha, I mean, fair enough. But how long ago were you at those parks (like kings dominion or budch gsrdens)? Like I said, I never would have compared til 4 or 5 years ago. Cedar point really upped their game in the service/cleanliness/operations aspects, and the times I've been to WDW, they've really faltered.LOL these are my local options:

Let’s see what happens to the Cedar Fair parks with the Six merger. I’m worried, Universal Orlando I feel stands with Disney pretty well. Here’s the parks that I feel provide an excellent experience that while they aren’t Disney I regularly have a great time at:
Allied Parks: Pretty much every park that isn’t Seasme Place (haven’t been to them as a single adult male) but I’ve frankly avoided BGT for a while and feel that park is the black sheep of the chain. Just had my first trip to Discovery Cove, and wow was that a blast.
Herchunds Parks: Dollywood and Silver Dollar City. Phenomenal parks that I could eat and watch shows all day, but the rides are a blast too. These parks particularly shine during their Christmas Events.
Cedar Fair Parks: Cedar Point, Knotts Berry Farm, Kings Island. You’re going to have a great time at these 3 gems.
Six Flags: The only park with wide appeal outside of coaster lovers is Fiesta Texas.
Palace Parks: Kennywood, if you ever wanted to experience what a park was like in the golden age (1920s) this park is great living museum
Independent Parks: Hersheypark is a great park run by the candy company. However the true gem of this category is Holiday World and Splashin Safari in Santa Claus, IN. Family run, they include unlimited Pepsi and sunscreen with admission and is exceptionally well run. The water park is one of the best in the country and has 3 water coasters. At the amusement park they have 3 wooden coasters that top most charts, including the Voyage which regularly tops the lists of most enthusiasts as their favorite wooden coaster period.

I really hope Epic turns out to be so amazing that Disney won’t be able to ignore it anymore.
This too big to fail attitude is getting real dangerous.
