Disney knows good and well the Imagination Pavilion needs a complete overhaul including the ride.

They have been dangling a carrot in front of fans faces for years now and need to go ahead and green lit this project.

All this promotion of Figment in meets n greets as well as merch opportunities…it doesn’t make any sense to keep this attraction in the state it is in.

And, frankly, now that they are #turbocharging parks investment: they have no excuse.

The HTH has been started to be used on its own without the connections, so I can see that staying, but with the Twilight Zone elements removed(which to be fair only are really present in the preshow), no matter how it does.

The Fifth Dimension scene is pretty firmly rooted in Twilight Zone iconography.

imagine if the elevator trapped those people in some other TV show intro.
A certain rabbit could...

I for one totally agree with you on everything you said. First off, the current iteration Journey Into Imagination with Figment was supposed to close ten years ago, secondly JIIWF has done absolutely nothing in terms of being inspiring to all Disney fans old and new, and third JIIWF has been absolutely nothing short of being a putrid abomination in the eyes of many Disney fans all because of the god forsaken Imagination Insitute theme. Because the Disney executives will not listen to their fans all because they want to cram nothing but IPs in the parks, the attraction has been stuck with Dr. Nigel Channing who is by far the most pitiful character to embrace A Disney park, and Figment who is a Chesire Cat like troublemaker instead of kindhearted childlike character he was in the original JII. Face it everybody, The Imagination Pavillion is never going to be it's great self again or Epcot will never be the great park that it was for as long as JIIWF is still the current iteration. Dr. Nigel Channing will never and I repeat will never be inspiring as Dreamfinder, now I like Eric Idle, especially in his days with Monty Python, but he can't do Dr. Channing any justice what so ever. So Dr. Nigel Channing and the Imagination Insititute theme have been in the Imagination Pavillion long enough and is way past it's time, and it's got to go, Dreamfinder needs to be brought back and Figment needs to have his kindhearted childlike attitude back, even if the new version is a scene by scene remake of the original JII updated for the 21st Century, I don't care what the new version of JII is going to be, please Disney I beg you, stop it with the IP cramming and bring back Dreamfinder and the Figment that I know and love.

and the ridiculous thing is Dreamfinder and Figment ARE Disney owned IP... Fix the attraction and pavilion to be really jaw droppingly beautiful, a fantastic steampunk repository of dreams and ideas....as it should be...then develop a film or series with the IP... If done well it could be the "lightning in a bottle" that Pirates was... That alone would have more impact on EPCOT than any new Moana/ Encanto/Princess nonsense....

Maybe then Figment could even expand to Tomorrowland in other resorts, meaning even more money.
