Honestly I can. It tracks with what I've been hearing.May 20+30 is actually June 19 but I really can’t imagine them using Juneteenth….

FEA which opened June 21, 2016 they announced the official opening date May 20, 2016.Why haven't they announced it yet, if it is June that's only a little over a month away. How long are they gonna wait?

As far as previews go, they know the reservations are going to sell out pretty quickly. It could be that they're trying to get their IT and park ops/staffing ducks in a row before making the announcement. Those are always things that can be improved. That's just a guess.
Putting aside the potential optics issues of doing it on that weekend. It's a federal holiday. Many people have a 3-day weekend.May 20+30 is actually June 19 but I really can’t imagine them using Juneteenth….
There’s a bit of an understanding between the parks and Club 33/Golden Oak that they (the bourgeoisie) get early access. Other groups are more flexible. If they only offer a week of DVC/AP (the poors) and it sells out in 12 minutes, that’s acceptable since those individuals can just buy an ILL the next day with the rest of the poors.Do you know if they typically start letting CM know about previews weeks out or days out? I would assume they want to get that done before media day(s).
Is it possible they skip AP/DVC/soft open previews entirely and go straight into full operation given the timeline and lost revenue from Genie/LL?
Accepting of mediocrity is why Disney continues to decline by degrees. You don't have to agree of course but being "nitpicky" used to be the difference between Disney and everyone else. That attention to detail seems to have fallen by the wayside. Also, This is a discussion forum where we discuss things. "Outrage" is a bit hyperbolic. More like disappointed that they didn't do better. But hey, opinions. The nitpicking outrage is getting more and more desperate by the minute among those who had already decided they must hate this attraction.
This is, after all, a fan forum. Fans nitpick. It’s not outrage, it’s fans being interested in a hobby they love. And my personal opinion is that, while the overall effect is very nice, the top of the mountain is not exactly Imagineering’s best work. The nitpicking outrage is getting more and more desperate by the minute among those who had already decided they must hate this attraction.
I think the issue here is that:Accepting of mediocrity is why Disney continues to decline by degrees. That's the internet for ya!I think the issue here is that:
one side genuinely thinks this is not good
one side genuinely thinks this is good
and BOTH sides cannot believe that the other is being genuine in their thoughts and opinions.
HA! Gotta love it!That's the internet for ya!
Even those who have been pretty excited about this project have been “nitpicking” some of the design and thematic choices over the last few weeks (e.g., signage, final appearance of the mound). This is an odd take meant to score points, but you just kicked it into your own goal. The nitpicking outrage is getting more and more desperate by the minute among those who had already decided they must hate this attraction.
Looking good and lush!
Prior to Juneteenth. Hmm.I’ve heard from multiple sources that the invites are June 9-11. That’s as definite as it gets.

In December, yes. Regardless of theme, this ride system usually closes January-February for refurbishment. People wore ponchos all the time when it was Splash. Probably more needed on Kali River Rapids, but go for it.Weird question, but we are going for the first time in December, which can be cooler. Even if it's chillier out than normal, will this ride be open?
Can you wear ponchos even if it's not raining? Just to keep clothes dry if cold out.

Also by design to keep birds from perching. They're titanium and deadly sharp, they will weather better than the rest of the landscaping.
Keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all titimes.also
