Why reinvent the wheel? It already exists right here.Someday, I’m going to launch a competitor to WDWMagic, but it’s for people who hate Disney parks and films. And want to complain about everything they do.

I think that every DParks site is thatSomeday, I’m going to launch a competitor to WDWMagic, but it’s for people who hate Disney parks and films. And want to complain about everything they do.
Peppers, food co-op, salt mine …. The convoluted backstory nobody wanted. Especially not little kids hoping to see the characters they love, in the outfits they recognize, singing the songs that are already embedded in their brains.Living with the Bayou

FIRST LOOK: Pepper Garden & New Flowers Added to Tiana's Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom
Head out to Magic Kingdom with us as we take a first look at peppers and new vibrant flowers installed at Tiana's Bayou Adventureblogmickey.com
Yeah, like it or not, Song of the South was a significant part of the company's history. I don't think it should be promoted to children anymore, but referencing it in a historical exhibit about Walt Disney himself isn't inappropriate. I think the film is worth highlighting both as an example of the history of racism within old Hollywood and as a big technical achievement in combining live action with animation.I don't really understand the point of that article as summarised at the end.
They say they aren't calling for the image to be taken down or covered, that Disney can be a powerful agent for change, but also that they need to be consistent. That last part implies BlogMickey is suggesting they should erase the image of SotS as they're certainly not putting Brer Rabbit back into Splash Mountain. Personally, I don't see a great deal of inconsistency here as this exhibit is designed to give an historical overview of the company and the image is included as part of a display meant to show the films the company produced during the period of time during which it was made. That's different than basing a whole attraction on the film, having meet-and-greets, etc.
Say goodbye to the SotS part of Walt Disney Presents, it'll be gone soon![]()
Song of the South Reference Remains at Walt Disney World
Even though Disney World is changing Splash Mountain to Tiana's Bayou Adventure, a reference to Song of the South remainsblogmickey.com
With so much flavor, it will leave you with a frog in your throat!I can’t wait to buy Tiana’s hot sauce! I know it’s really just generic hot sauce from China with Tiana’s label on it, but I still want it.
There’s actually a big hot sauce market globally. I can see Disney partnering with a big one (Tabasco, Lousiana, Crystal) for a Tiana oneI can’t wait to buy Tiana’s hot sauce! I know it’s really just generic hot sauce from China with Tiana’s label on it, but I still want it.
Which aficionados will pan unmercifully., maybe they should stick to rebranded TabascoThere’s actually a big hot sauce market globally. I can see Disney partnering with a big one (Tabasco, Lousiana, Crystal) for a Tiana one

I'm pretty sure it IS a dead stump. I mean there's nothing growing on it in either the film or the ride. It's looking finished and nice. Splashers won't agree, but the tree trunk on top always looked dead to me, like it was struck by lightning. Sure it was intimidating, but it was also from a film that few have seen. I've seen SOTS and don't seem to recall the stump being a huge part of the movie.
