I thought this was a joke and apparently its not??

What the [censored]. That makes absolutely no sense. 3 out 4 in that lineup have nothing to do with the theming, plus Tiana already has a resort with themes surrounding her and is getting a ride.

Weird character lineup…

That said, Aladdin, and Prince Ali, specifically, is a posh Royal, so I could reasonably see a Prince from a far off land visiting. Makes no less sense than the Cinderella crew, even if their aesthetic fits better. Suspension of disbelief in character meals is usually quite large and one I don’t pay attention to.

Same for Tiana in her TBA gear. She’s a wealthy woman! No reason she can’t be hanging around high society!

Mirabel makes absolutely no sense. Zero, negative, nada.

Aesthetically, her dress is colorful and loud and just the whole character’s vibe doesn’t really fit with what you’d expect at a high society tea party. Clearly exclusively because she’s popular.

Mary Poppins just seems essential to this lineup, so weird she’s absent.

My consolation is that this is at least something that's opening before my next trip, not closing or closed, so at least that will decrease demand a little bit elsewhere as people try to score ADRs for the "new" thing, even if it sounds like a disaster

it honestly feels like a game character party, where you put out the characters together because their kits work even if realistically they shouldn't ever meet. Ali being the DPS, Cinderella maybe a sub DPS with her animal summons, Mirabel and Tiana as buffers

This whole "Celebrate a Wish" theme seems like it was built off the false assumption that the Wish movie was going to be a hit and this would naturally ride that movie's wave of popularity. Perhaps, 1900 Park Fair sponsored by Disney + (stream Wish now!) Well the movie bombed, so now this feels weird. lol
