Yea its called standby skipper. You pay a daily or weekly fee and they make bookings based on your preferences. Then you get notifications when something is booked. Ive never used it but it was getting popular.

Eta: $25 a day or $45 a week

Too bad Disney is not skilled enough to build this into G+

It really isn't to make it less complicated. It was to get bookings without having to search yourself. You still needed to confirm bookings and know how to use genie+. Honestly I always thought it was a waste of money.

I would think they would make 1000 attempts trying to get the exact time you want. For example SDD at 9. Would really screw up things for everyone else because desired timeslots are gone and hog up bandwidth leading humans to experience the dreaded glitches.

A side result is that standby wait times are now broken in MDE in production.

It wouldn't work.

The whole point of these external systems is to give you a competitive advantage in booking desirable G+ selections against other people. Disney can't implement that themselves.

... unless... it's an extra up-charge with more limited availability.

It issue with the wait times has to do with them making changes to block out third party apps from using Genie+
