When the park first opened and the map had an illustration of Asia under construction, I thought that was where the dragon was going.

How about a Beastly Kingdom with two sides, like what the original plan was going for? One side would be for either Japan or China (or both; or maybe for the creatures of Raya and the Last Dragon) and the other side would be for Ancient Greece (Disney's 1997 film Hercules would be sprinkled in a little bit for IP reasons, especially with, say, a live stage show take on it). I think the land should be called, appropriately, either "Beastly Domain", "Beastly Dominion", or "Beastly Odyssey".

I'd have to see how they'd do Ancient Greece, I think that could potentially feel out of place too.
They should just do Ancient Europe in a new park.

How about we declare the eastern part of Animal Kngdom a different "park" or world, as in Future World and World Showcase?

Believe it or not, I don't really care if Zootopia is in Animal Kingdom at all, although it seems to be coming. But, apparently Dinosaur doesn't attract enough guests, so maybe a new dinosaur exhibit between Africa and Asia? With dinosaurs with realistic feathers, as archaeologists have unearthed?

Moana is an IP that thematically works in a few different areas. I'd argue that as a result of that it's a poor fit for DHS.
EPCOT and DAK are the toughest parks to integrate IP and Moana can fit in both of them better than many of the existing IPs that are already there (really only EPCOT). That being said, I could hear an argument that Adventureland is a better fit for Moana than either EPCOT or DAK. But again, Adventureland is an easier land to crack so I would absolutely accept Moana in DAK and have very little issue with Journey of Water's placement.

Well, I wouldn't be so sure just yet. I mean Zootopia is more likely than anything the people around here would want, but Disney still cancelles plans like this all the time.
Dinosaur doesn't attract enough guests because it's tucked away in the corner of the park and few people pass or even know it's there. Plus the ride has been made less appealing since the lighting was increased and that has made the effects look considerably worse. Because Iger wants to pander to small children who shouldn't have been on the ride in the first place. I don't even know if the ride is worth doing anymore and I actually likes it originally. I though it was a really good attraction.
EDIT: I like your suggestion for a new dinosaur land though. Accurate dinosaurs would go great in DAK and would be a good contrast to the scaly monsters over at Islands of Adventure. Overall I think dinosaurs deserve better than the current Dinoland U.S.A. in DAK.

While I pretty much agree with you, I think one of the reasons many of us are okay with Moana in DAK is because our standards have just been lowered. Because let's be honest this is not a good idea for DAK, it's just better than all the other IP alternatives

Thematically I have no issue with Moana in DAK. The opposition people have is similar to the Pandora opposition. The fear may be more well founded now that Rohde isn't there but there are absolutely parallels with the themes of Moana and the themes of DAK.
That being said, my objection to Moana as pitched for DAK is that the park doesn't need a log flume. It needs an indoor ride without a height requirement. Using Tiana's/Splash Mountain as a metric, I'd have to assume that a Moana flume ride would have a 40 inch height requirement in a park that is in need of another ride without a height requirement. (Safari, TriceraTop Spin, Na'vi River Journey and the Wildlife Express Train).
I really think Mystic Manor is such an obvious choice for that park if they could find a place to put it.

Is there any shot this could end up being the Shanghai Pirates ride system? I know it doesn't look like it in this concept art, but it seems like that system could work well with this IP.
[Still don't want Moana in AK, just speaking theoretically]

I mean sure thematically Moana isn't really a problem, but I also don't think anyone here really believes it was the best creative decision for Disney to make with the park. Infinite better options exist but are prevented by the IP mandate.
As far as what kind of rides DAK needs. Something with extremely high capacity would be best. But outside of that, I don't think it even matters too much what kind of ride they build, tbh DAK just needs more rides in general.

No offense, but that's the kind of contrived storytelling that created Cosmic Rewind.
Mystic Manor would need a new land. Especially given its exaggerated, cartoon aesthetic.
