Titanic was 194 minutes, and it made 1.8 billion dollars in 1997, so I think Cameron is capable of pulling off a profitable film with an obscenely long runtime again.

In my defense. When it's really hot it the parks and you walking around in the heat, and you walk into the beautiful, cool theatre, sit down in the comfy seats, the lights go down and ....... Zzzzzzzzzzzz....... what, where was I, oh yea, 3 hours and 10 minutes! Thats a long movie.

Hateful Eight roadshow presentation was the last new movie I saw with an intermission. It was timed perfectly so that as everybody filed out of the theater they were commenting on the outrageousness they’d just seen. Palpably added to the experience.

I'll have to take your word as that is one movie I will never watch. But I do remember seeing Once Upon a Time in America in the theater and it had one. I remember people being confused what was happening.
