But the potential for up to 24” of rain in some areas, and 12-18” expected. I think the less time Ian is in the Gulf, the better for Orlando. They've dropped expected intensity over Orlando to Tropical Storm status, so that's good...
Can’t check in until after 3pm? They really are expecting to be back to normal on FridayFor anyone with a Friday check in -
"For Guests with a Friday, Sept. 30 check in, please arrive at your resort no earlier than 3 p.m. ET; Guests who arrive before 3 p.m. will not be able to check in."
No. No later than 3pm Wed.Can’t check in until after 3pm? They really are expecting to be back to normal on Friday
For rain it’s worse though, the way dry air is going to go into the storm the area just north of the eye will be the worst.Probability of Orlando being on the clean side keeps increasing.
Umm…they’re not “predicting fizzle”…don’t give too much creditIt’s good that they have this kind of confidence that they’ll be all set to welcome guests Friday afternoon. I hope this storm somehow fizzles and they are right.
Clean side of what? Supercooked torrential rain for 36 hours?Probability of Orlando being on the clean side keeps increasing.
Not too surprising…that’s pretty standard 55 miles inlandThey've dropped expected intensity over Orlando to Tropical Storm status, so that's good...
Local news YouTube feed predicting only 6-8 inches of rain in Orange County. Hard to believe the difference. Also the track did move south. Just north of Ft Myers.Umm…they’re not “predicting fizzle”…don’t give too much credit
They are simply targeting when the coffers can be refilled again.
Pretty linear thinking
Yep, I took photo in June. It's just outside the restrooms, in the back before you get to "pirate memorabilia" room near Tortuga. Is that really at Peco’s?? Please tell me where it’s located! After 40 trips down to the world I can say I’ve never seen this.
Sustained Wind Strength | Tampa | Orlando |

60-75 MPH | 50-90% | 60-70% |
40-60 MPH (Tropical Force) | 90-100% | 90-100% |
Well, yeah. You realize that rain comes from somewhere, right? Hurricanes rotate CCW. Water is picked up from the ocean and spun up to the right of the hurricane.Clean side of what? Supercooked torrential rain for 36 hours?
Hope all the scheduled cast come to work post storm and roadways driveable . Attractions need trained cast not just any cast to operate the attractions . This goes with any dept also. A few posts on a different thread a number of months ago notated lack of security staffing caused massive lines of guests waiting to enter MK one morning .On a sightly brighter note, if you're on site and your tickets are extended you've got a good shot of getting on every ride the day the parks open. It always ends up being a very weird day as the place is totally dead for the morning, with walkons on practically everything.
Glad to hear you can finally get some restChecking in from Fort Pierce area. Second round of tornadoes has moved on, and we’re going to bed.
Heavy rain right now, but that’s pretty much what we’ve had on and off since we fled the Keys on Saturday.
Stay safe everyone.
