Trip Report Everything Is Just So Peachy Keen! *COMPLETED*

It certainly was for us Georgia peaches this last week! For those who may be new here, let us introduce ourselves. We are Tuvalu and Em, a mother-daughter duo who love traveling together to Walt Disney World. We take multiple trips per year (this was our third for 2022) and for us, time spent at our resort is just as important to us as time spent in the parks. Slow-paced relaxation is vital to us!

I’m sure this laid-back vibe is what draws people to cruises: pools, bars, a variety of restaurants and activities from which to choose . I can’t do ships. But I can happily “land cruise” at WDW!

I hope to get on JC this October since we haven't been able to do that attraction in a while! I hear so many things on the Disney blogs regarding IASW malfunctions and breakdowns. We have the same favorite spot to eat lunch at CHH although we are fish eaters.

Right before Em and I left Columbia Harbor House I checked the app for the status of Haunted Mansion.

It was open!

Don’t let the line length fool you. It moved fast!

As I mentioned earlier, none of today’s ride photos showed up - can’t put all the blame on those playful spooks though.

They were kind enough to halt the Omnimover long enough so that I could grab a pic to prove we’d made it inside.

While on the way to our final attraction before a mid-day break, we passed a man wearing a funny “Dad tee”.

Apologies in advance for having to wait in line behind my family

I suppose Em and I should have been glad that we did not follow them here.

This was a hotter….and longer….wait than we expected.

Scuttle had flown the coop last month and apparently had not yet returned.

“Please pull down the sand bar.”

We didn’t make it far before encountering technical difficulties. This CM was attempting to restart the ride.

Second stoppage was here.

Didn’t mind the third stoppage - I was able to capture a good “wave” pic to send to Woody.

Goodbye for now, MK! (I do miss the characters atop the platform. They were there regularly during the pandemic.)

Our bus was waiting for us.

Em opted to nap in the room while I enjoyed an hour at the pool. Win-win.

I stopped by the Front Desk afterwards to complain about our hot water situation (as in taking f o r e v e r) and the very strong floral scent that continued to linger in our room. Maintenance was scheduled to come in an hour, so Em and I quickly gathered our things and headed out.

Ha!!! Nice! I'm betting anyone with that kind of sense of humor wouldn't have been that bad, though. The real entitled people are rarely so self-deprecating.
