Got a ask what is the going rate per square foot to build --it's over 200 dollars (average house nothing special) and rising here in coastal SC,

Also Bluffton near Hilton Head is overrun with residents from the North with money moving in and real estate prices rise accordingly.

Average is about anywhere between $150-$300/ sq. ft.
But, I know of some of our larger homes with upper end amenities, trim, etc., going up above $450/ sq. ft.

Shortly after we moved back to Texas, I broke my calcaneus on the Ho Jo pool diving board…happened on a Friday the 13th…and I was 13 years old at the time…PASS…!!!!!

That woulda’ been our cars about a month ago, but, the 2 large trees we had in our front yard died after “SNOWMAGEDDON 2021…!!!!!!! “…miss the shade, but, definitely not the green coating…!!!

One aspect of Bluffton is hardly anyone is from the area. Mostly made up of many residents from NJ/NY and parts of SC and GA. Summers are brutally hot and has gators and snakes like many hot climates in area

Same thing happening here 30 miles north of Charleston yankees coming down from the NE have driven the housing market so high it's ridiculous. It has really hurt the first time home buyers like my son and daughter in law basically they have been priced out

Sorry to hear about the rising prices. Of note, I live in MA and have never been able to afford a house here. We are not all wealthy.
