Exactly! Because the concepts of EPCOT and Disneyland are exactly the same!
My point is standard contractural language…A common phrase, but when not present it can land you in serious hot water if you assume that an equivalent will be acceptable.
No product substitution stipulations are pretty common when it comes to commercial construction and are not at all unique to Disney whom I have done engineering work for. I have had a case where and EOR specified a brand of nails and would not budge on the matter and this was on a rather pedestrian clubhouse for a new subdivision. My point is standard contractural language…
…Disney gives little control to contractors to pick ANYTHING…however. Not typical construction or design
Do you think that change in marketing psychologically affects Imagineering as well? When there’s no pre-hype surrounding a product, I feel like they would have more free reign and creativity. But when the hype starts prematurely I feel like all those Imagineers have a lot of pressure on their shoulders and sometimes make bad decisions because of it.They used to do it that way…they built to finish it and let the ride speak for itself…wasn’t all that long ago either
It’s possible…there’s probably an inherent pressure to do things a certain way if they use it for marketing material everyday prior to opening for 5 years…Do you think that change in marketing psychologically affects Imagineering as well? Come on guys, pick a color and finish the job. This is just example of cost overruns where the bean counters could step in. And, that's only one that guest can see right now.Latest on the exterior paint job at Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind

Well, since they keep changing the colors almost week to week, there's always something new to report.WDW New today posted this weeks ago.
I’m not sure why it has to be “new” to discuss it? This isn’t watergate.Well, since they keep changing the colors almost week to week, there's always something new to report.

These color changes also tell me they are having problems deciding what to do and having a consistent design aesthetic. No wonder costs are so high and the end results can feel weak.Come on guys, pick a color and finish the job. This is just example of cost overruns where the bean counters could step in. As a construction lawyer, this ^^A common phrase, but when not present it can land you in serious hot water if you assume that an equivalent will be acceptable.
Residential construction also plays by a different set of legal rules than commercial in most jurisdictions. What you can And can’t do on a single-family home is VERY different from what you can and can’t do in a commercial setting. No product substitution stipulations are pretty common when it comes to commercial construction and are not at all unique to Disney whom I have done engineering work for. I have had a case where and EOR specified a brand of nails and would not budge on the matter and this was on a rather pedestrian clubhouse for a new subdivision.
Residential construction tends to be much more flexible.
