England is expected to return to tougher restrictions because of the new variant. A necessary step, but one that many people will feel inclined not to take seriously in view of the government’s own egregious disregard for the rules.

If original is 97% effectiveness, 25% drop yields a remaining effectiveness of 72.75%. 1/25 would yield 3.88% effectiveness or rather known as ineffective.
