Just remember, the Storm Troopers in the Hangar area of RotR are considered "animatronics". Be careful what you wish for...I thought that was for the coaster itself, not the preshow. I'm curious to see how they are used on the coaster, IF that is where they'll be at too.
No animatronics is an issue for the same reason it's an issue for 90% of Na'vi River Journey. When the point of the attraction is to be transported to a world, characters, and creatures you've only seen on screen, it's a let down when the Pandoran horses and panthers, or Rocket and Groot are only projections on a screen. I can get that at home!
Keep up the optimism...aa or no aa, this ride looks awesome, even the preshow que area looks cool with the planetarium like ceiling element....cant wait to see it in person
It's too bad the Pandoran panthers couldn't have been AAs, standing still, blinking, and moving their head back and forth. That would've been amazing.
While that may be true, we don’t have Joe Rodhe as a creative director anymore sadly.. but you never know, perhaps the talent is still there to make it a high quality experience… only time will tell though. At the risk of repeating myself, look at what they did with the Guardians overlay at Disneyland's ToT.
I'm confident that what we get for this coaster will be similar to that.
There's a large building for the queue, and it's not going to be composed of just railings and switchbacks.
There is going to be a pre-show, and at the very least - Rocket is going to be talking to us in AA form.
They’ve pre-installed a disco ball next to every new AA since 2007 to avoid the need to cut the buildings open to install one later. I counted 34 disco balls in the RotR hangar. In the pre-show, BB8 is, in fact, a disco ball.If they do include AAs, they should also pre-install the disco ball
I've seen this thrown about, but what is the actual source for this number? At a price tag of more than $400m it better have some AA's - and they better be mighty good lol
Nothing published publically.I've seen this thrown about, but what is the actual source for this number?

Space Mountain doesn't try to force a story on a roller coaster where it does not belong and use screens to tell said story.Recall how awful Space Mountain is due to the lack of AAs.
It would have if it were built today.Space Mountain doesn't try to force a story on a roller coaster where it does not belong and use screens to tell said story.
