Zootopia Meet & Greet

One of the better options IMO...
I actually do wonder why they haven't done that. Once guests see a Frozen ride, they expect Anna and Elsa (which they get) and they also expect Olaf, but can't find him since he's in a different park for some reason. What I think they should do is expand the M&G building so Olaf can go in there, then put Judy and Nick over where Olaf currently meets.

Plus I'm surprised they haven't done this already since Olaf usually has no line (and even when it does, it's usually only 15 minutes). While a Judy and Nick M&G would get a massive line, especially considering they usually get up to a 5-hour line on peak nights of MVMCP.

I think it's due to having Doppleganger Olaf's....If one was just meeting it would probably be longer...Same goes with how Baymax & Inside Out characters have one visting area and then have to "Magically" Go backstage to either "recharge" or having a meeting with the other emotions...;)

I don't think there being multiple rooms for Olaf has to do with it. Just look at Mickey's line at MK. Even with there being four different Mickey rooms, it often gets up to hour-long waits. While Olaf is usually a walk-in or no more than a 15-minute wait.

Well, Zootopia merchandise is finally being sold on Oh My Disney. And someone said it's going to start being sold at World of Disney pretty soon. And if it sells well... Maybe that'll raise the changes of a permanent M&G?

Yeah, and I don't know what happened, because they disappeared like two weeks later. As of right now, there is zero Zootopia merchandise found anywhere in the parks (other than a pin). So, them selling the t-shirts and plushies on the site again is hopefully a sign that they're returning to the parks.

This also happened with Wreck-it-Ralph as the movie came out they had merchandise being sold in the parks in November of 2012.. 3 months later it was all moved to the character warehouses and vanished...As of now all they have for that film is a Magic band and 2 pins....I'd be surprised to see if anything comes out for the sequel....

Well, it seems Ralph and Vanellope will be getting a M&G in Innoventions once RBTI comes out.

My son was OBSESSED with Meet the Robinsons when he was little. Talk about difficulty trying to find merch. The Christmas after it came out we had to scramble to find some tiny figures that had been sold briefly at the Disney Stores and the videogame. Thankfully, he grew out of it.

I honestly don’t know where it’ll go. My best guesses are Planet Watch at DAK, (hopefully only temporary until they build a
Zootopia-themed land, which I REALLY hope they do) basically anywhere in Future World at EPCOT that isn’t already taken, (as that land lacks a consistent theme) or somewhere at DHS.

In what way would a Zootopia land fit with Epcot’s Future World? The land would be a stretch to put anywhere as in that world everyone is an animal. So what reason would there be for humans to suddenly be working in that land?

I don’t think a Zootopia land would work in Future World, (IMO, it would only be able to work at DAK and maybe HS?) but a M&G might be able to, due to its overall lack of consistent theming.

I think my buddy Nick was referring to the Innoventions Character Spot building, which for a while now has been the rumored location of a Judy and Nick M&G.

Behold... WDW Executives & Zootopia Fans

Bob Iger: Man, Zootopia just became our 2nd highest grossing animated film, a lot of people say it’s better than Frozen, and everyone wants to meet the characters! So we’ll put them in a mediocre dance party!

Fellow Executive: Uh, are you sure that’s a good idea?

Bob Iger: Yup, it’s perfect!

1 MONTH LATER

Fellow Executive: Uh sir, our fans do not approve of it. They want to actually MEET the characters.

Bob Iger: They do! They have a dance party and everything-

Fellow Executive: No, actually MEET them, not dance with them. Fans want to actually give them big hugs, talk to them, and take a photo with them. Our fans want a meet-n-greet for Judy and Nick.

Bob Iger: OOOOH! Okay I got you now. We’ll give them a M&G at the Christmas Party meaning you can only visit them once a year!

Fellow Executive: You really don’t get what I’m trying to say do you-

Bob Iger: It’s PERFECT!!!

A FEW MONTHS LATER

Fellow Executive: Sir, our fans are really not happy with us that the M&G was only for the Christmas Party... They really want a permanent one.

Bob Iger: What was that? You said to give Anna, Elsa, and Olaf permanent M&G’s even though our fans are annoyed with us milking Frozen? Done and done!

Fellow Executive: Why does he never listen...

2 YEARS LATER

Fellow Executive: Sir, our fans are full-on angry with us now! They’re tired of us having no Zootopia merch, yet plenty for Frozen. They want a full-on demolition of the Planet Watch for a Zootopia area as well as a permanent M&G! Please sir, we’ve got to before our fans start leaving us!

Bob Iger: What was that? They want us to put Judy and Nick in another mediocre dance party where you can’t meet them but just dance with them? I’ve got ya!

Fellow Executive: *repeatedly bangs head on desk*

THE END

Bob Iger: What about at DCA?

Fellow Executive: Yeah we got no one there doing meet and greets..Throw them there. That'll get the fans mad who can't seem in WDW...

Bob Iger: okay have them there...

Well actually, from the way my story goes, Iger would probably be the one saying to throw Judy and Nick in DCA, with the fellow exec. saying of how that would get WDW fans really mad.

It actually makes me really sad that we don't have any place to actually meet them, and I want to be able to give my two favorite characters the biggest hugs :(
I know. It’s a huge disappointment, at least for me. Although hopefully the reason that there isn’t a permanent M&G at the moment is because they’re waiting for something special, maybe a Zootopia land?
