They're related because they're both ludicrous stunts that were influenced by the Internet in some way.

I apologize if my previous comment sounded mean, hearing this just made me very angry. I didn't mean that all milennials were terrible. I mainly meant idiots like this guy who employ the most ridiculous tactics just to achieve fame. And I'm aware that a person of any age could've done this, but honestly, most of the stupid Internet trends and pranks that I hear about originate from Gen Z/milennials, and it infuriates me how the Internet and social media are influencing these kids, making them willing to do anything just so they can get their dopamine rush from the attention. It frustrates me because I'm 18 (almost 19) and even I know not to do this crap. So that's that.

I really don't think it's entirely their fault, like I made it out to be at first. It's obviously the toxicity of today's social media playing a part as well. Because let's face it, even though there are benefits to social media, there's been some real stupid incidents that have come out of Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube etc. I still remember when people ended up in the hospital because someone was using Snapchat (the speed filter) while they were driving. That was smart.
I totally understand, sometimes I feel like I’m 50 even though I’m only 19. My interests are slightly different, you know ;)

To those saying three days is not enough, I don't disagree. But my guess is his sentence is that light because he went to court without an attorney and pled (pled? pleaded?) no contest. There was no lengthy costly trial. He didn't have a lawyer who would delay as long as possible, try to drag things out in the hopes of, if this were a trial by jury, sympathetic jurors or easily confused jurors who wouldn't be able to follow the case, to say nothing of the time involved in selecting jurors in the first place. Nor did he need to say I can't afford a lawyer, per Miranda you must provide me one, considering how overloaded those cats are.

There's an argument to be made that he ought to have had a lawyer, because every defendant deserves a lawyer. But by making it as cut and dried as possible, and based on probable other factors (like perhaps he never did anything this stupid [and got caught] before), they let him off light. It's also possible WDW wanted this to go away as quickly as possible (assuming they'd be involved in the case since it happened on their property and not a "People of Florida vs." type of case. So light prison sentence, lifetime ban from property, let's go back to hyping Slinky Dog Dash.

So I've got a flight out to Vegas last March to visit the big brother and a gentlemen is in the gate waiting area visibly angry because evidently he was going stand by and just found out that there were no seats available. So the darlin mensa candidate starts yelling about there being a bomb on the plane. :banghead::banghead:
Then of course when TSA,FBI, homeland security and Philadelphia police arrive en masse to have a little chat with him, he's shaking his head saying "it was a joke, don't you guys have a sense of humor".. humm no we don't.
flight delayed 4 hours while the check the plane, check the airport, etc etc.

I really think stupidity should have a surcharge.

Wanna bet Disney handed him that yellow piece of paper?

What a complete and utter (and other words the mods won't let me post) moron. Agree with @George. If I'd been there with my family and he pulled that on me, he'd be wearing that camera in a very uncomfortable part of his anatomy.

And yeah, these are no longer pranks.

Imagine if he pulled that prank on someone who already had a form of PTSD...

Yeah, he needs proper jail time, not this 3 days stupidity.

I believe they call jokes like that "terroristic threats" and that charge usually comes with hefty fines and jail time.
