Your Thoughts on Liberty Tree Tavern

It's very nice, but does take up time. Have you thought about an a la carte lunch, instead? Or a later dinner, if Spectromagic is scheduled during your visit? I only ask because we had lunch with my brother and his family at around 1:30 or a little later, and we were able to step out just as the 3 O'clock parade was passing. We had a great view without waiting for an hour. Also, we found the lunch to be less expensive...we don't really eat enough to justify most buffets. I think I had clam chowder, split a sandwhich and dessert with my husband and felt quite full. (I was with a large group with a few people ordering entrees, so I think they brought bread and butter, too)

I have been there a few times and I would say it is definitly worth it....especially if u have never eaten there before.....so give it a go

We ate there in August of 2001, six in our group. Thought it to be a very good character meal. Three teenagers can eat you out of house and home when ordering off a menu (sometimes my son orders 2 meals) so the family style set-up was great. Something for everyone and plenty of it. You know best how much everyone in your group eats so that does play a factor. If they are big eaters, I feel it is the way to go.

I've eaten there twice over the years, most recently on Spring Break this year. The place has great atmosphere and food, but I don't know that I would really recommend it, especially if this is either your first trip or you are pressed for time. To really get the most out of your money you'll have to be able to give the place a good couple of hours. That's not to say that it can't be a worthwhile experience -- it's just not necessarily the right place for everybody.

We just got back on Monday June 3rd. we had dinner there on the 2nd. of all of our character meals we had the longest wait with our ressies...we had a group of 8. Still the kids did enjoy it, the food was good, the service was pretty good if we hadnt had the guest next to us keep knocking our stuff over by swinging his camera bag...drinks mostly. I would recommed an early dinner like 4 or a late dinner say maybe 730-8pm that would cut down on your wait time. This dinner is not fast, you get your soft drinks first, then salad, then they bring your meal so allow for about 2 hours time...definately 1 1/2 minimum. Like others said if you would normally eat a big meal then it would be great to eat a big breakfast, snack at lunch then eat dinner at 4pm so really only having two meals instead of three...but if you are pressed for time...skip it.

The dinner menu is all or nothing I do believe. There aren't any appetizers at dinner, but I believe dessert was extra, but I don't think that is all you could have. I think you had to have the meal.
It is worth eating there at night. I ate there several times with either 1 or 2 other people and it only took us 1.5 hours max. We had it timed great so that we finished about 15 minutes before MSEP or Spectro started.

We've had the character dinner last year... the characters are all dressed in colonial costumes...
...the food was OK...the atmosphere is good....but I thought it was just a little cramped...there are a couple of tables in high traffic areas and the people looked pretty annoyed about it.
...during Lightning storms, the wait area gets jammed packed with people trying to duck away from the bolts and the noise level increases dramatically in the restaurant.

I agree.
The Liberty Tree Tavern is ok for lunch but the dinner leaves a lot to be desired. Stouffer's sponsers the place and they are not really known for great food. Of course Stouffer's is owned by Nestle's and as well ALL know:

The dinner is an all or nothing deal. I think we payed 20.99 for adults and 10.99 for kids? something close to that anyway, no deserts included in that price. Served family style, and all you can eat. Also anyone not eatting is charged a $5.00 entertainment fee~hope that helps.
