I ment the one with the weather channel like music.

I too would enjoy it via Youtube...However the only one I've seen is on mousebits and it's the WDW Today channel that talks about the parks, tours..etc...I've got the torrents for the resorts to watch and it feels like I'm there *sigh*

Hmm... I have the full version of Spectromagic, but I got it from my sister. I'd have to ask her where she got it from.

And that Weather Channel-like music/info station is what I always turn on in the morning at the resort.

Darned if I know where to find that, though.

For those computer illiterate geeks such as myself, is there any way to watch the "Top 7" on the internet and plug your camcorder into the computer and tape it onto the camcorder? And by doing so, record only the video and not all the annoying crap off to the side of the screen?

A while back someone posted a link to the Top 7, and someone apparently did so in this thread a few posts back. But as I watch it, the video doesn't take up the entire screen because of all the other links and stuff off to the side. As a result, the picture is kind of fuzzy. I was hoping to plug the audio/video cables of my camcorder into the computer to record it onto a mini DV tape, but I didn't know if this would work or not. Is there any way of getting this on tape short of hauling a VCR down to WDW with me on my next trip and hooking it up to the TV in my room?

I'm not sure if it'll work that way...But if you download it you'd still be able to watch it through Quicktime..It's pretty much an MP4 file. On my PSP it looks really good.

But for a really good copy.. I'll have to say Mousebits..They have a Resort Channel ISO with 4 channels. Once you get the torrent it can be instantly burned to a DVD. With a great menu and such.

The channel's that appear on the DVD are as follows.
Channel 17 - What's On
Channel 18 - Top 7 Must sees at WDW (2006 Version)
Channel 19 - WDW Today (Date on it was around March 21st I think During the time the person recorded it)
Channel 20 - Future Programming (It's that one channel with the Rotating Mickey head and a message scrolls "Future Programming"

I was lucky to get an older version that has the Kryssa Must sees and Tip for the day as well....

It's too bad they won't have things like this in FTP files or at least in a way it would be easier for many people..Plus it takes forever to download Torrents...I've only done at least 3.

You'll find most of the Resort TV loops on Mousebits. The latest is a June 2007 capture of the "What's On" channel, Channel 17. I have, and shared, the 2001 Resort TV audio loop, the "Zip-A-Dee-Do-Dah" version which I just love. You'll probably find what you're looking for there, and if not, feel free to make a polite request - you may be surprised at what people have lurking in the deepest regions of their hard drives!

It's not terribly difficult to get content from Mousebits:

1. Download (and install, if necessary) a BitTorrent client such as uTorrent
2. Browse to www.mousebits.com
3. Click on the Torrents link, and either find what you're looking for or do a search
4. Save the torrent file, open it with your client
5. Enjoy the file(s) when complete!

As for download speeds, that is determined by two things:

1. Your available downstream bandwidth
2. The number of people seeing and their available upstream bandwidth

I've grabbed some of Martin's videos (300-500MB) in as little as 15 minutes. When you can hum along at 100-150Kbs, you get things quickly.
