Your Resort Goodbye..

ShookieJones

We need time for things to happen.
Hatter enough with the "goodbye" talk.

After you made that 2014 last trip comment in the other thread, I've got this feeling you've got a motive behind all your questions --"Hmmm what's the best way to say my goodbye to PORS, a viking funeral down the Sassagoula River?" "Death by beignets"? Are you trying to get us all depressed around here ;)?

Well, the only time I'll say goodbye is knowing that I have no interest in returning to a particular resort. I'll never stop going back to WDW but I will stop going to certain resorts if I'm not interested in staying there. This March, I said goodbye to All-Star Sports. As a sports fan, yeah, I do like seeing all the sport decorations but really, I don't think I want to stay there, again. I'm not willing to put up with subpar food courts and shared buses. I have AOA, Pop or AKL on my mind for my future visits though :) .

I said goodbye to All Star Sports in June because I don't want to have to stay there again!! We had a pretty terrible experience this last time. Nothing about the resort was bad, just the groups that were there were a little out of control. We'd rather pay a little more and try Pop or AOA. But as far as saying goodbye to any other resorts we stay at, we usually just say a "see ya real soon" like others have posted.

Great question. I used to do this a lot, simply because I didn't know when I'd be back. Unfortunately I think it affected the way I toured the 'World. I had it in my mind that I had to do absolutely everything because I didn't know when/if I'd be back.
That all changed during our last trip when the love of my life asked me to "slow down a bit, we don't have to do everything" to which I shared with her my mindset of worrying when we'd be back. She of course thought that that was silly, that she loved coming to WDW and that even more, she loved seeing the way I am when I'm in WDW and that was reason alone to come back soon.
She's definitely the one.

Wow, I'm suprised at some of the answers. My wife and I say goodbye to the resort, not because there was anything wrong but because we want to enjoy everythign that Disney has to offer, which includes other resorts. Our first stay was at Coronado Springs and we had a great time. We wanted to stay there again on the next trip but knew if we did that we wouldn't be able to enjoy one of the other resorts. Remember folks, "Variety IS the spice of life!" So when we leave, we and our children say goodbye and thanks to all the CM"s for a great time and start looking forward to the next resort. Can't wait for the end of September as this year we will be visiting POFQ for the first time. We wanted to do it on our last trip but opted for AoA because my DM-I-L came with us. We can't wait.

You sir, have hit it directly on the head..Now I agree when people say never, however unless they have the secret of living forever.( spill the secret ) I'am not saying that The Lord is calling me,what I am trying to say is,who knows what lies around the corner. So I tend to think,is this my last trip, and that's why I say goodbye to my resort..Sorry again @ShookieJones..I wonder if I'am in the over 60 society here..???:p
