Good Morning Everyone.Having only been four times to WDW[this year will be five] and stayed at three resort hotels.Have you ever stayed at one and said "no way would I stay here again "and if you have, what made this your decision,eg,dirty rooms, bad food court, unfriendly CMs. I must admit we love all the resorts we have stayed at and have never found one thing to complain about.Over to you.

Pop Century

There wasn't anything wrong with our stay at Pop Century, but nothing made us want to return either. We were given the exact opposite of our room requests, surely they could have accommodated at least our request to be away from a pool or be on the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th floor. The beds were rock hard and we just didn't enjoy the themeing too much.

Next time we choose value, we'll stay at All Star Music or Movies.

All-Star Sports for us and Pop Century is a close second. DH and I along with DH's family stayed at AS-Sports in October 2007. We had nothing but problems, housekeeping not cleaning the rooms, unexpected maintenance done on the pool which we were not told about and could not sleep all night because of, etc etc. Pop Century is a fine resort, however I don't think that it was our cup of tea. I think that DH and I are more at home at the moderate resorts.

I agree with Pop Century the rooms were just to small. I love Ft. Wilderness but was a little disappointed with the cabins. Thought they could use a update. I vowed I wouldn't stay again at the Coronado but that was 10 years ago and I am thinking about giving it a try again. I didn't care for the atmosphere and the room decor. But now that I have kids the pool looks pretty darn cool. Probably would never stay in a wing room at the Contemporary. MK view is the only way to go at the Contemporary, IMHO. Really wish the pool was better at the Contemporary too.

Yacht Club.

Front desk was unhelpful. Valet's were unhelpful. We had a package sent down there with stuff for the kids (diapers, snacks, juice). Not only would they not bring the package to our room, but they wouldn't even let me use a cart to wheel the package to our room, I had to lug a 50 pound box in the middle of July from the Convention Center to the other side of the resort, plus pay $10 to get the box. Yeah, not quite what I expect from a $400 per night hotel.

It's a toss up between Yacht Club, which just leaves me cold, and Coronado. I've only toured Coronado so I'm hoping the work trip I have to take next month changes my mind, but I'm not holding my breath.

All Star Sports is one that I wouldn't want to stay at again. I just didn't care for it. I also visited a friend at Pop and didn't like it to much either. I did like Music though so this is nothing against value resorts.

Once we stayed at POR, that was it for me. I like it better than even some of the deluxe resorts that we have visited.

I too, would have to say Pop!!! We stayed there a few times and never had an issue with this resort until our last stay there in Sept. '11. I was so disappointed in this resort in Sept. The bus system was the absolute worst!!! I swear we waited longer for a bus coming and going to the parks then we did standing in line any major attraction in any of the parks. One night coming home for DHS the end of the line for POP was literally at the entrance to the park!!! 2 hours later we finally made it back to the resort! We complained and nothing was done about it. All they did was apologize!

Pop is definitely at the bottom of my list for resorts to stay at that is for sure. If $$$ is an issue, I will definitely chose one of the All-Star resorts over POP in the future!!!

i know a lot of people are going to disagree with me but for us it's boardwalk. the resort was beautiful but we had sooooo many problems with staff on that particular stay (a shocking first for us) that i just can't get myself to want to book there again and we go several times a year (we're passholders).

The All-Star are on this list for me. Just always seems to be the nosiest and least convenient one for me. Especially when the buses are running in a combined mode servicing all of the All-Stars.
