Your Hidden Gems.

This is a great thread!

For table service I think I'll have to go with the Grand Floridian Cafe. I feel like it gets overlooked with all the other restaurants in the GF, but my family and I love it. Also the Trail's End Restaurant in the Fort Wilderness area. You really can't beat the prices in that place, it's great!

For QS I'll go with Beaches and Cream. It's not so hidden (it's always crowded) but the things they offer there (kitchen sink) and the ambiance are well worth it!

Some other little gems that come to mind are Club Cool in Epcot and Aloha Isle in Adventureland.

You are so right!! Grand Floridian Cafe is a WINNER as is Trail's End! I think they are both overlooked and have great food. DH loves the comfort food of Trail's End.

Please don't remind me of Club Cool, that Mozambique ginger drink needs alcohol, like a splash of vodka, and Aloha Isle,ah!I can still taste my dole whip and my pineapple float.Talk about being depressed.

I agree with the original post that Sanaa is a real diamond in the rough. I had a reservation for their first seating time and we showed up early. They do a drum ceremony to open the restaurant and we sat right next to the window and watched the zebras stroll by. I recommended this place to a friend and she got the same seating time. Here son (4 years old) got to participate in the drumming. It was one of his highlights from their trip.

As far as quick service, it would, surprisingly, have to be Foodquest at Disneyquest. While their menu is nothing new, the food was prepared fresh when I ate there, probably because of how slow it is. And, they have the same cupcakes as starring rolls bakery and you can get them for desert. It's one of the best deals for a QS desert out there.

Sanaa in my opinion, is definitely our favorite hidden gem. Ate there in May and it was wonderful. The bread appetizer was so good and it was my first time trying any kind of Indian/African inspired food. I had the tandoori chicken and it was great! A giraffe went right by the window when we were there.

I don't think there is a counter service place that is really a hidden gem that I have been to though I have heard Wolfgang Puck Express is really good for a counter service option and hopefully we can try it next spring!
