Your Favourite Pig Out Joint!

I've never been a big buffet or all you care to eat person - I don't usually eat enough to justify the cost. I will say that I come pretty close at Ohana's though, I'm usually stuffed before the swash buckling swords of meat arrive because ALL of the food is just so darn good.

I do like Beaches and Cream for a good food coma. A bacon cheeseburger, fries, and ice cream followed by grease induced hallucinations.

But! My all time favorite let 'er rip get me stuffed meal is dinner at Citricos. A 2-hour, take it easy dinner starting with the Arancini, then maybe the Charcuterie plate or a salad, the Braised Veal Shank (by now the gout fairy is hovering waiting to attack!), and then dessert. All with a couple of cocktails and wine pairings. Usually a perfect evening - ask for Jamie by the way. It's awesomeness!!

If it's going to be a long day in the parks, I'll eat 16 boxes of Cheerios in our room before we head out. My cholesterol is usually in the negative numbers during our trips.

Wow! I had no idea they were that heart healthy! Maybe I start covering all the fatty food I eat at WDW with Cheerios and they will cancel out the effects. I think @disneysince71 knows about health. Maybe she can comment on this plan.

Let's just say I pig out my entire vacation. On vacation there's no need to watch calories. ;)

I'm the same way. I watch everything I eat outside of the world, and allow myself to give way inside the world. The food is so good!!!! And heck, I'm on vacation....we all need to relax and live outside the "reality shell" of life every so often.

I'll cancel out the Cheerios by going to dinner at Ohana and having 3 skewers of beef, 2 skewers of pork, a couple piece of turkey, about a dozen wings, a plateful of noodles, and one piece of lettuce.

I did that on our last trip... I told my husband and kids not to eat the salad... I wanted to make sure they ATE enough of the good stuff!! .... I had read on this site they bring it out in a way that by the time the Steak and Shrimp arrive you start to get full...
Now how's that for a Health Teacher... :( As far as the cheerios go @George I am not a very good example at the World I eat horrible.... But I do try to go for a run or get in the gym a couple times when I am there... :) Then spend the next 2 weeks recovering!!

The most certainly DO stagger the courses in an attempt to get you full. The bread and salad first. Then the appetizers. Only then does someone conveniently come around with meat.

I'll have a pinch of bread and a little salad, just because they're good. But I call their bluff and specifically flag down a "meat runner" as soon as the appetizers land. :D

We went twice on the last visit and we learned fast... I made the shrimp guy my new BFF!
Cause you know... he likes to take his time... :)
