To the beer lovers in WDW you must try Big River Brew Pub. DW and I love to end our night with a few pints. They usually have 5 different styles on tap. Something for everyone!

Having tracked down of the Shofferhofer Grapefruit bottle locally, I don't know if it should technically be called a beer. It's half beer, half grapefruit juice. So it's really more a shandy or radler. So odds are if you like the shandy, the grapefruit is pretty much the same, just a different citrus fruit.

I've had the bacon maple stout - to be honest, I was not thrilled. Just not my cup of tea, so to speak.

Ditto. It was ok, glad I found it in a store instead hard to track it down. Asked the proprietor at my local beer store about their latest, the Chocolate Peanut Butter & Banana, he wasn't impressed. I wasn't going to take a leap at $14 per bottle. I though the Bacon Maple was a risk at $8, but that something I can chalk up to experience. But $14? Damn. No thanks.

We get a couple of these for New Year's and have our own beer tasting party. :)
My friend has 6 pack swap parties. Everyone gets a 6 pack of something different people wouldn't normally have (If you show up with Bud Light or something similar you don't get to participate) and you walk around trading beers until you have 6 you are satisfied with.

I didn't even pay for it, so I can't complain (My brother bought me the bottle). I like flavorful beers, but not flavored beers. Like with pumpkin beer. I want it to taste like beer, with pumpkin tones. I don't want it to be as if I put a slice of pie in the blender. the maple bacon was too mapley for my tastes (the bacon was really more of a smokey note)

My fave is the Hovels at the cart just outside the Germany pavilion. It isn't sold in my city, so it's WDW special for me.

It is a delicious...beer, with notes of... Epcot.

Indra by BraufactuM in Germany. Was a F & W beer a few years ago and it was really really good.

Optimator by Spaten in Germany. Used to be available year round in Germany @ the Bier Cart, Somerfest and Biergarten.

LaRossa @ Via Napoli is also really good. I was impressed the first time I tried it.

Out of all the other beers I have tried @ WDW (which there have been quite a few), there are no others that really stand out. Yes there are some good brews, but not outstanding.

Not a beer expert but....

As for Japanese, I like Sapporo over Kirin. I had it for the first time many years ago in NYC at Nobu. Now you can find it everywhere.

Same with Tsing Tao (China). I like Heineken and it reminds me a bit of it.
