Your Favourite Meal Of The Day..

Cocktail hour.

No, only kidding. Who limits it to just an hour?

Honestly, lunch is probably my favorite. We love brunching at the Food & Wine Festival booths most of all. The days we're not at Epcot, sneaking away from the parks for a bite and some relaxation is great too. We'll sit at the bar and order pub food at a place like the Wave lounge, Portobello or the Cabana Bar. It's a wonderful midday respite.

It's strange, but my food routine changes totally while at Disney. At home, I brew a big pot of tea and usually have a decent breakfast - if it is a work day it can be a yogurt and muffin or oatmeal and on Sundays the dogs and I enjoy a big batch of bacon and eggs....but when I get to Disney it goes out the window and I have one cup of tea (less potty breaks) and very often that's about it. Sometimes will make a quick salsa/cheddar omelet on toast....

I can bypass lunch as I am so caught up in the parks - but then by the time 6 pm arrives, I am set for my ADR and a glass of wine.... then I savor my meal and tipple.... so to answer the question, dinner is my fave meal at Disney.

In my household you would get different answers to this question depending on who you ask. Hubby and oldest daughter like a big breakfast. Which is weird because at home they don't eat like that. Honestly, it's the bacon but it's not like Disney bacon is great . Guess it's because they don't get it at home :p Younger daughter loves her breakfast but at Disney she'll just grab a cinnamon roll or danish and wanna hit the parks. Me, coffee please and lots of it :)

Dinner is my thing. Starts from the moment we plan the trip and figure out ADR's. Scouring menus, wine pairings, and atmosphere.....:hungry: I drool just thinking about it. It's always a great end to a great day in the parks, where we reconnect and relax scrolling through the pics we took on the cameras. Laughing about the goofy things we saw and did. Perfect!

I'll go with dinner. Because with breakfast, anything goes so there's no real need to have a special meal (Though for Tonga Toast, however, that is not the case!) and I'm fretting am I going to beat the crowds so that I can ride all my favorites in the morning before 10-11 am where the crowds file in! For lunch, again, no real need to make it special because for the most part, I enjoy something quick like a sandwich, burger or pizza but I still have rides to ride, shows to see and characters to meet, etc. Now at dinner time, that's where I want something special. The weather has cooled down, practically all of my favorite rides have been ridden, I've met all the characters I wanted to meet. The time crunch isn't as large as the other two meals are so I can treat myself to something special.

interesting..I can go either way for breakfast..heavy or light at Disney ...we are doing 2 breakfast buffets...really depends on how I feel that morning ...could go fruit...muffin...or go full on breakfast assault...if it's the latter I wont eat again til dinner....

which is our meal of the day...love to schedule a sit down dinner each day..to recharge the batteries...before hitting the parks again....11 Sep cant get here soon enough

Dinner, because I am a lush (haha) and it's always exciting to try new cocktails and wine! I like to keep it light for lunch and go all out at dinner, like pizza at Via Napoli (margherita with fontina and kalamata olives, AHHHH), or the poutine at Le Cellier, goat cheese ravioli at California Grill, queso at La Cava... you get the picture.

Basically, if it's covered with cheese, it's my favourite.

I rarely eat breakfast at home and wouldn't even eat breakfast at Disney if it wasn't for the fact that I know my body needs that sustenance for the way we hit the parks. Usually fruit or even just orange juice or tomato juice (sans alcohol that early ;)). A light-ish lunch works good 'cause we're still rockin' it. But when it comes to our TS dinner ADRs...I dog down like a spring sow...or, is that sow down like a spring dog...?!?! Anyhoo, I put it away and then we still keep rockin' into EMH...!!! :p :D ;) :)

At home I prefer eating Dinner leftovers at Breakfast. Especially, Meat like BBQ Pulled Pork or POT Roast. I think these 2 items make the best breakfast food. However on vacation I Think my favorite meal is the Dinner Meal no matter what the hour. :)

Here I am talking food again..:hungry:..As I was watching our holiday DVD from 2004 at the CBR last night,I noticed this family sitting not far from us at breakfast..:jawdrop:...You could see plate after plate arrive with stacks of waffles, then another plate with what looked like a giant mix grill of eggs,bacon,etc...Here's me with my croissant and coffee..I'll be honest,my typical breakfast at home is a bowl of bran flakes or a slice of brown bread toasted with honey.I know there's an old saying that breakfast is your most important meal of the day..Not me folks..So what would you say is your favourite meal of the day at Disney..?..With out a doubt mines is dinner ( from 7.00-9.00 ) Even at lunch time I can get by with a light snack and a juice..:hungry:

Ohhhhh Great Question! I'm a breakfast person, DH is not. So we compromise. We hit buffets where I can get a little bit of everything. :)
