Well that's the windows done for Christmas with all my characters wearing tinsel,Mickey and the gang, and the presents are wrapped up,which leads me to this question. My lovely DW has bought me ( Xmas present ) a very expensive coffee machine that makes lots of different blends like Cappuccino,Latte,Mocha,Espresso etc.Now I love my coffee but my DW can't stand the smell of it ( she's a tea Jenny ) anyway, all the more for me.But what is your favourite coffee at Disney and where do you get it.? Now I know that Starbucks is coming to town tho Ive never ventured into one here in the UK. How good is there coffee? But more important,at this moment what coffee does it for you.?;) My favourite at this time is cappuccino with a sprinkle of dark chocolate on top.Over to you coffee fans.

The 100% Kona press pot at Kona Cafe is the best coffee you will find on Disney Property.

I do not care for Starbucks coffee. It is far too strong, has a very burnt taste and an incredibly bitter finish. Many people love Starbucks coffee, but I can't stand it. They do have a new mild bean called Blonde that is passable. If Starbucks is my only choice and I am not getting an espresso foo-foo drink the Blonde is at least drinkable.

Starbucks. Its been in Shades of Green & either the Swan or Dolphin for years. :P

I have been a coffee drinker my whole life. I remember drinking very milked-down coffee from a sippy cup as a very young child. I prefer light to medium blends. Bolds tend to have too much bite for me. I don't like any flavors that have a spice to them, Starbucks has a few. Like the Christmas Blend. The thought of drinking that turns my stomach. Also, either their Sumatra or Verona has that spice I can't stand. I tend to prefer iced coffee with vanilla or hazelnut, sweet & very blonde with milk, not cream. It's mostly warm here in southeast Texas so iced coffee is refreshing. Lattes, cappuccinos, espressos are okay on occasion but mostly I'd rather have something with less bite. Every now & then I'll sip a hot black coffee if the mood strikes. French press tastes incredible but the chemistry disagrees with my stomach so I can't drink it. I wish I could. No matter what brand a coffee is I recommend sampling different blends & flavors to find your preferences. Coffee is every bit as diverse as beer. Find what you like thru experimenting! ;)

You might want to give a few of the low acid coffees out there a whirl.

Just had a look at the menu at Kona, and I see you can buy the Kona to take home with you at $40.00 or am I reading that wrong.:)
That is a 12oz bag of the 100% Kona coffee beans if I am not mistaken. You can buy the same beans online or in most coffee shops for about $30-$40 a pound (16 oz). You can get Kona blends (around 10% kona beans) for about $8 a pound.

Can you recommend one? Seriously, I've held onto my French press forever hoping someday my belly would have a change of heart. I've tried numerous blends pressed at SBux all with the same painful result. Using the French press even with a pricy coffee would be more economical than the stinkin' Kuerig for DS15 & I to have our morning cup every day.

First and foremost, skip Starbucks. I picked up a bag of Puroast at Wal-Mart and really liked it. Taste of the house blend is along the lines of your average mild to medium 100% Arabica coffee.

No problem. I love SBux coffee but don't limit myself to just that. Mostly SBux is a convenience, a place I know I can find most anywhere & get an iced coffee with sugar-free syrup, Splenda, & skim milk specifically. I need to hit up Walmart today anyway so I'll have a look. I wonder if Target carries this. I'm in the Super Target far more than I'm in the Super Walmart. ;)

Oh! And Hatter! If you want to try a coffee with jolt I recommend a coffee with chicory. When I worked in law enforcement in Louisiana this was the beverage of choice for night shift. We brewed Community Coffee (a local brand) good & strong. Only a few of us girls could handle it but many if the patrol guys would come in begging us to make it. That stuff will put some hair on the old chest, lemme tell ya! LOL! If you'd like, I'll send ya some. I think I've seen it in stores here in Texas.

According to their website, Wal Mart is the only retailer that carries it, but you might be able to find a different brand of a similar coffee at Target. As soon as run out of the whole bean coffee I have at the house I will be ordering whole beans in bulk directly from Puroast.

haven't had the pressed pot coffed @ Kona, but hopefully this upcoming trip I will try. The coffee @ Writers Stop in HS is probably the best "in park" coffee IMHO. Outside of the world I typically drink 'Bucks or Dunkin Donuts when out and about and typically 8 O'Clock brand @ home as they carry a 1/2 Caff. Like SweetPea, some stomache issues @ times and I like to be careful. The "pressed" coffee @ 'Bucks every once in a while is pretty nice as you can try different blends.

Coffee always tastes better after a great meal with awesome dessert. Luckily, WDW has plenty of both!!!:)

Amen to the desserts!

We have not found a coffee yet we like at Disney. BUT guess we've been looking in the wrong places. We may try Kona. But this year we are taking our RED single cup Keurig with our own bean. We seldom buy the K-cups...we use the My K-cup and buy our blend of bean. Currently we like the Walmart available "Millstone Brand" French Vanilla. Walmart has the TINY bags for most of their brands that give you 4 servings for the My K-Cup. We've tried a few and found bad and good coffees we like. Nice that you didn't have to get a whole bag and suffer thru it if you don't like it. ;)

ENJOY YOUR 1ST CHRISTMAS IN DISNEY TOO! We did in 2008 and loved it. Need to go back but only so much vacation time per year...

Any coffee drunk while sitting outside of the Roaring Fork in the morning while the family is waking up back at the Villa....and that's just what I'll be drinking one month from today.
