Your Favorite Resort For A Sit

I think mine is Wilderness Lodge, sitting by the lake. The breeze feels nice and I love hearing the sounds of the boat horns across the water. I do the same at Contemporary. I just happen to enjoy Wilderness Lodge more for sitting around. Also, I enjoy the chairs by the fire in the WL DVC building. I will neither confirm or deny that I have fallen asleep in those chairs or when sitting by Bay Lake.

Now this is my area of expertise! Haha.

There are lots of good choices, here are some of my favorites.

- Grand Floridian and listen to the piano player
- Contemporary with relaxing views of Bay Lake
- Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani has really nice seating areas.
- Boardwalk and watch the street shows in the evening.
- Port Orleans FQ & Riverside - both are so relaxing

Those are my favorites but I have more! Haha

Or upstairs, either in one of the nooks or in a rocking chair.
Or in the Carolwood Pacific room.

I will need to check that out next time I’m there!
I think @nickys misread your post. She is thinking of Wilderness Lodge (not Animal Kingdom Lodge) which has several nooks and places to sit in the upper floors of the main building (and rockers in front of the giant fireplace in the lobby).

The Carolwood Pacific Room is in the adjacent Boulder Ridge DVC building. It has a replica of Walt’s train.

Oh, you’re right. I did read it as Wilderness Lodge. Or, I was thinking I was replying to @Skibum1970 . 🤦🏽‍♀️

Either way, thanks @Tuvalu ! Those are gorgeous pictures too.

One not yet mentioned is the club Level lounge at Coronado's Gran Destino. They did a really nice job with this space. The view is lovely, they have nice coffee table books, board games, with beverages and snacks.

I also like the outdoor tables at Riviera, kinda near the pool.

We tend to not sit all that long at WDW, but I enjoy sipping my morning coffee while sitting on just about any balcony if the weather's not too chilly. One of my odd favorites is a balcony with what many would call a non-view. Disney used to call them Standard view, but now calls them 'resort' view. Some of these rooms have a view of a backstage area, where you can see delivery trucks or something similar. At AKL, our room faced the animals' gatehouse. At the end of the day, all the animals lined up on their own. At WL, we had a room overlooking the meat smokehouse. They can be very interesting.

There's also a nice quiet area on the far side of the Contemporary's Garden Wing. It faces the canal, and you can watch the boats going by. There's at least 1 park bench. Over towards the quiet pool, you can catch a nice view of the lake and the water parade.

Over at Universal, Royal Pacific has a beautiful courtyard with a pretty water fountain and lots of orchids.
Portofino also has a lot of places to sit and relax. There are plenty to seats off the lobby, outdoor tables by Sal's, also a pretty courtyard off the lobby with tables and nice flowers.
Sapphire Falls has a number of nice places to sit. The lobby and pool area come to mind. There's a covered area by the pool. I don't recall seats being there, but it is a cozy spot to wait out a downpour.
Like Disney, Universal has outdoor movies at night, but at the HRH they play them by the pool. So you can sit by the pool, or in the pool while watching a movie. In general, the public areas of the HRH trend a bit loud and all the indoor spaces have a strong fragrance! but the hotel has - or had - nice live musicians in the afternoon by the pool. I think they still have them, and they tend to be more low-key musicians.

It is kind of funny, because it just occurred to me that we tend to do more sitting in hotels while we are at Universal.

Ohhh boy!! Did I ever read that wrong!!! I was going to answer that the Yacht Club has some really nice and clean public restrooms, but luckily reread the title.

To answer the actual question, we enjoy sunset at Geyser Point at Wilderness Lodge with a few cold drinks.

For the first misinterpretation, I have found that the Contemporary's Convention Center has very clean and nice restrooms. When there isn't a convention, you have the place to yourself.
