Fantasyland is usually the opposite of relaxing, but during our last trip my wife and I enjoyed a very relaxing night in Gaston's tavern during and after the fireworks.

While there are many relaxing "go-to's", sometimes there are unexpected locations that are usually busy but due to the time of day or weather, etc can become a memorable escape.

Get up early and take a few round trips on the first launches from CR to GF to the Magic Kingdom. At that hour of the morning I susally have the boat all to myself on the return trips.

Disneyland- Upstairs balcony of the Village house. The old trail behind BTMRR, BBQ when it was there. Tomorrowland Terrace. Main street RR station. Back line area to get Dole Whips.

MK- Pretty much same as above, except Dole Whips spot, Add the shop at the end of the Space Mountain. It has the charging stations and Air Conditioning. The trail from TL to FL.
DAK- it was under a deceit amount of construction in 2016. I did find the flame tree patio was an awesome find, I also found the Dig site a great spot to sit while my 10 yr old got her extra running energy out. I don't know if it was because the Asian jungle trek and the Rapids were down, but the walk way from there to Everest was shady and easy to sit on fence.
DHS- Echo Lake usually find shade at some point around the lake. Before the construction hitting the Coke Stand and getting spot near the Splash Fountain was easy going. Back Lot Counter Service has plenty of great spots to just go Oh my feet needed me to sit down.
EP- We need to go back to fully enjoy the world show case, but in Future World. The Land and The Sea pavilion has plenty of spots to hang and enjoy people watching. I especially always enjoy just outside with the Seagulls. Mine, mine, mine!

Not in the park but the Grand Floridian lobby!! One of the most beautiful, relaxing places in all of Disney. Comfy couches & listening to the Grand Orchestra and pianist playing wonderful music... A very nice place to take a break and just take in the magic of Disney :)

Years back there was a CD put out by Disney Travel, and there was one Guy (Bob?) whose favorite attractions at WDW were all the benches. I remember him finding all the benches to relax on. Does anyone else remember that one? He was my hero!
His name was Dave. We call that WDW DVD "Dave" - Wanna watch Dave tonight? :)

Before construction we used to sit on the white sand beach at Poly and watch the fireworks. I have a beautiful silhouette of my DD's profile and fireworks etched in my brain.

I enjoy the wdw railroad, much like the peoplemover, it can be so nice and quiet in some parts that you forget you're at Disney for a moment.
