Your favorite "little things" in Disney attractions

There are so many incredible eye-catching details at all the Disney World parks, but the detail that just popped into my head, is the fine wood handrail in the queue line entering into "The Living Seas". It goes slightly uphill the further you go into the attraction.

At the top of the queue line, if you can pause long enough to take a look back at the handrail, it is quite beautiful to behold. The gorgeous wood curves its' way - back and forth - and gives the effect of undulating waves.

This is not really a little thing inside a ride, really not a little thing at all, but a lot of people miss this. I love talking to the CMs. I would just have wonderful conversation with CMs and it's even more fun when they are in the mood of the ride. My favs are Hollywood Tower Hotel Bellhops and Haunted Mansion butlers and maids.

I'll have to say any sensory thing that you can't see, such as smells, sounds and even the temperature. The fact that you close your eyes and you still know you are there. And when you are home waiting to go again you catch that smell somewhere or you hear a certain sound and you say.....awww I wish I was there!!

Probably my favorite attraction at Epcot is Impressions de France. The movie makes me want to go to France so bad!! My favorite little thing about the movie is the "Renegade sheep" that starts running crazy. Cracks me up every time

I love the signage in some of the queue lines... for example, MuppetVision 3D... One day, we had to wind around the building... The line was moving kinda fast, so I kept letting people go by me so that I could read all the great signs.

Once inside the pre-show (and even in the theater), it's fun to read the walls, boxes, labels, and whatnot...

Jungle Cruise, and It's Tough To Be A Bug also have funny signs :)

I agree with Fantasia Boi! I love all of the inside jokes and signs in the wait for Muppet Vision 3D (Like 2-D Fruities :p ) I also like the Jungle Cruise wait line and It's tough to be a Bug's. Pirates of the Caribbean's wait line is pretty cool too, with the caves that you walk through, but there are so many it's hard to decide.

"little things"

WDW is all about the "little things". It's one of the many reasons I love it so much and have a very difficult time enjoying other amusement parks. So many little nuances...the two skeletons playing chess in POTC-the one skeleton has the other in checkmate....the waiting area for Muppetvision 3D-I love the net hanging above your head that's full of jello (get it..Annette Funnicello-haha)...the Disney coat of arms above the entrance to the castle....the list goes no and on, too many to mention. One of my favorite things however has always been the hidden speakers at the Polynesian. Walking around the grounds at night with flaming torches and occassionally hearing that music when you pass the speakers just makes the mood perfect. Disney understands moods and themeing better than anyone.

A few of my favorite things...

Everyone seems in agreement on what makes the Magic Kingdom, well... so magical! I love the music and have almost every little bit of info that I was able to glean off of KaZaA.

For more specific loves:

1. The orange smell in Horizons "orchard of the future" scene was one of my favorites. I went on the ride 20 times in a row to determine if I was actually smelling it or if my mind was playing tricks.
2. The ambient music around Living Seas, or on the general pathways.
3. Hidden Mickeys. During my last trip I was stuck in line of the Haunted Mansion and a mother in front of my group was having trouble keeping her little ones happy. Disney just let's me open up to people so I informed her about the Hidden Mickeys and showed them a couple of pictures of ones I had found that day. Soon I had the mom and kids in rapt attention, all of them discussing how "they were going to find those Mickeys!" They said I made their day... And I'm not even a CM!
4. Finding a secluded spot in Animal Kingdom where no one else is around. Or barring that, standing on the bridge leading to Dinoland and look out at the Asia section. Sooo beautiful.
5. When they had the DDR machine in the Pizza Planet at MGM, I would play all the songs on Trick Mode and attract a HUGE audience. I had people camcording me!

Darn it, now I want to go back!!!! Aaaagghh!
