And now for something completely different...

Classical, but not all, very picky (lo-o-o-o-ve Fatasia and Fantasia 2000)

John Williams compositions, IMHO, Williams has played a major influence in raising the standard for film soundtracks in the past 30 years

Some broadway and movie musicals (Andrew Lloyd Weber is a favorite)

And, of course, "When the moon hangs high o'er the willow tree, ghosts arrive for"... well, you guys know the rest.:animwink:

I'm into classical.....sort of. Theres this Danzig track called Overture of the Fallen Angels...it's sweet suff. :D

Now you seem to be stuck in the 80's . Why don't you plug your commodore, play some Playmobiles, watch He-Man on TV, imitate Mr T while solving a Rubik Cube?

Disjosh: YES. Green Day is far beyond any other "punk" or alternative band, they are too smart and different to be compared with Blink182 or Sum41. Green Day auto-created themselves while the other bands where done by the media ejem-MTV-ejem.

Yes and it's a shame they're touring with Stink 182. It's even sadder that Green Day isn't even headlining!

Oh well They'll be on tour soon enough. I don't know if any of you are as huge a fan as I am but I make it a point to keep up with there web site and there recorded messages and apparently they have the "list" of songs to be on their new CD up on the wall. That doesnt mean it will be out any time soon but at least I know somethings coming along! :D

Depeche Mode, The Cure, The Psychedelic Furs, The Smiths because I'm trapped in the 80's.

But my favorite band of alltime will always be The Beatles.

Believe me. I'm a huge fan. Got all their albums including their lookouts! ones, the limited editions, all the singles, plus a big collection of concert and shows on tape and many little collectibles.

Pan, I can't believe you being british don't like Oasis. It's the best band you people own right now!

I don't really think you can compare blink and greenday all that much, they are totally different, and i like both of them.

I think the only way , not to compare them, but to relate them is that Blink182 started doing adolescent punk melodic pop, while Green Day started also in their adolescence doind a soft punk, not to be compared with the 70's punk (______ Pistols, Ramones). I think nowadays bands like Sum41, Blink182 and all the others who has numbers, need to thank Green Day for opening the genre again in the 90's and giving the opportunity to many other bands to be famous and popular, like The Offspring, Lit, etc...

When did this become a debate over which band is better than another? The thread has to do with what your personal favorite bands are. And if someone likes both Blink 182 and Green Day it doesn't mean they're comparing them.

I'm not saying Blink-182 isn't good...I'd be stupid to say that because I can honestly say there are 2 songs by them that I like...But songs like 'it'd be nice 2 have a bj' (and not in those words)??? No thanks...
