Eh, they just mad... People as sad and pathetic as Patricia really aren't worth of wasting bandwidth on... :)

I would also not doubt you if you said she believed Wal-Mart to be the pinnacle of retail experiences. Because that's kind of the impression you get when she tries to claim FLE is better than Wizarding World in every aspect.

That is a very good metaphor. I wish it weren't the case but, sadly, it is.

I'll say one thing, I think TLM gets a bad wrap. For me, the scenes that work, really work. Unfortunately, they seem to be all at the beginning. I really wish we had more time with the amazing Ursala animatronic and the Kiss The Girl and Under The Sea scenes are quite good.

I agree that it's too bad they didn't spend a little bit more time on the effect of being under the sea but the descent effect is very cool.

IMO, the thing that really brings the ride down ultimately are the last two scenes (which are just awful). I think it says a lot about the current state of WDI that they didn't fix these scenes in the MK version.

MK's descent effect in Mermaid utilizes screens around the tunnel. In DCA, it is just the projection on the clamshell in front, wish DCA's Mermaid had this effect.

The Kiss the Girl scene is . . . a little plain for my taste, and not much details. A couple fake trees, minimally animated Ariel and Eric.

Funny.

A lot of guests miss the cut-out because it is so small. They're busy watching a digital projection of Ariel's shadow getting her voice back when she kisses Eric in a castle, something that didn't happen in the film, and an example of another cheap scene.
You never quit complaining, do you?

That really isn't as much a complaint as it is a critique – and a very valid one at that.

Seriously, it took me a couple of hours to figure out what that scene was supposed to be about. It's a weird silhouette of Ariel and Eric kissing with a heart around them and off in the distance is the small cutout of Ursala dying. I may be admittedly quite slow sometimes, but the scene made no sense to me.

* It's hilarious that you think Disneyland's this or that is so much better, when Disneyland has its own malcontents who think MK's Fantasyland is better. It seems there is a definite "grass is always greener in the other park" thing going on with malcontents.

I've been on Disney fan sites on the Internet since 1997, and I've been to both WDW and Disneyland many, many times. And I've never heard of any Disney fan, much less a Disneyland local fan, who thinks Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland is better than Disneyland's. Ever.

And it's no wonder I can't remember that topic ever coming up online... Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland/Toontown (now Circusland) has seven (7) rides and a 3-D show. Disneyland's Fantasyland/Toontown has fourteen (14) rides and a theater stage show.

I'm baffled at the idea there are "malcontents" at Disneyland who think Magic Kingdom has a bigger and/or better Fantasyland. There are definitely Disneyland malcontents on a variety of topics, but the concept of Fantasyland vs. Fantasyland has never entered into that discussion that I've ever seen.

Thanks for the eye-witness reviews. 'Till now all I've read is all the Big Kahunas type reviews and they are always just way to politically correct. I respect the good, bad and ugly more. Who wouldn't want to know it takes a long time to order food or the Rose doesn't always work properly. If you are creep'n up on a FP time frame you need to know you might miss it 'cause ordering is labor intensive. Knowledge is power!

Keep them coming!

Very short version...

Circusland - don't like it, especially all the red. Dumbo is too blinged/busy.
Girly part - like it very much, very pretty. Love the Ariel ride.

Really liked the spot on the bridge to Be Our Guest where the waterfall is and where the water runs under the bridge.

Under the Sea - like the going under the sea part, queue seems longer than the ride, Ursula part should be longer, kids will enjoy it, Ariel does a "wax on/wax off" motion with her hands in the once ice cream hair-do part (look for it next time :) )
Yes I noticed the Ursula cutout

Storytime w/ Belle - like the mirror effect, animatronics of Wardrobe and Lumiere are great, cute thing for kids to do.

Forgot to check out the Grotto

LouFou's brew has an interesting taste to it. Would like a smaller sized portion of it.

Cool place to just hang for a while and take in the scenery.

So far in the Storybook Circus, the only part I would go back to is the gift shop tent. I can see this area becoming another Mickey's Birthday land by 2028 for the 100th birthday.

We went through the FLE very quickly. We only saw the BatB portions from a distance. They looked pretty. We saw Gaston outside of the tavern but didn't have time to stop and visit.

We experienced the circus and LM sections in full. The circus is an upgrade over Toontown. Although I do miss the houses a little. It is nothing to get excited about. But I consider it a net plus over what was there before.

The princess areas were very pretty and immersive. But there wasn't much to do. The LM ride isn't much of a draw. I'm sure the addition of the mine train will make the area feel busier. But right now, it's a nice place to go and look around. Is that really what Disney intended?

I was excited to get in and look around. We spent about an hour in the new Fantasyland and that was enough for us. I really can't imagine people flocking to the place. Even after the mine train, I think it may need something else to keep people there.
