Your Disney Resort Theme

What type of theme would you like to see at the Disneyworld Hotel resort?
I think that they should theme a resort after the World Showcase. It would feature sections designed after each country, just like they are there and the rooms would look like a typical home from each land. This way you could see how others live and maybe foreign visitors would feel more at home here.
What would you do?:D

see, my problem is, my girlfriend and i are too loud for a japanese room (paper thin wakks, ya know?) OOPS... sorry, this is a family board... hehe

I would theme a resort to the future. Moving walkways, robot bellhops, voice activated room ammenities, very computer interactive with an almost Star Trek Enterprise look to it.

That would be my hotel concept.

I actually wrote to Disney years ago and suggested a Hotel theme like the Haunted Mansion. Paintings that moved, secret stairways, bumps in the night and a haunted dinner show. Imagine my surprise when I saw "Hogworts" in the Harry Potter movie. It was like my letter was forwarded to the author.:( :( :( :(

I would like to see a better version of a Western Hotel like they have at DLP. Maybe have a Rodeo Dinner Show on the level of Hoop de Do and Poly Luau. Of course their would be gun fights during the day, a general store, a bar, and horseback riding. Be hard to fit pools into the theming I guess.

Also, something exotic... like Atlantis OR a lost Amazon City with lots of jungle foliage, Hotels looking like Acient temples, waterfalls, a big temple with a food court and secret passageways, and lots of snakes (kidding).

I can't believe that there isn't a resort based upon the 100 acre wood and Winnie The Pooh and his friends.

Or what about a resort near the Disney World Speedway based on a pit area with replica cars

Could you go into Detail on how you would have a 100 acre wood resort? What would be the rooms? Where would you eat? Would you check in at Christopher Robins House? Or where you being sarcastic because of how big pooh is getting?

Dark hallways lite by candleabras. Gothic furnishings. A cross between TOT and the Mansion would be SO COOL.

Edgar Allen Poe/Edward Gorey-ish.

Although I don't think disney needs any more hotels for a while, i would like to see a futuristic hotel, like a space station themed hotel.

scary hallways ..... old fountains .. very cool !!!!!!

They Had Something Like this In Mind when they opened the TOT ride, the top few floors would be hotel suites with "spooky" stuff in the halls and in your mirrors and would ofcoarse cost more than any other room to stay in for one night because you stay inside MGM.

Maybe they do and maybe they don't.
I was just wondering what people would like to see if Disney had an open forum to discuss such an idea.
Wouldn't it be great if Disney wanted to know what their customer's were thinking.:sohappy:

Hey everyone!
I know that Disney is very original and creative, but take a look at some of the themes found in Las Vegas...Egyptian, Italian Renaissance, even one on top of a tower and one set in the middle east! I'm sure that Disney would have a lot of fun with these themes, and of course make them their own. Just a thought!

There was a Venetian resort planned for the vacant beach next to the TTC. Rumor has it that it may still come to existance as the greates 5-star disney resort in the world. Can anyone find the details for that plan? I remember reading a lot about it previously.

I think a Colonial them would be cool, like themed after Philly and Boston. Definitely patriotic. It'd definitely be cool to see CM's with wigs on everywhere and wearing knickers:lol: . But I think it'd be cool.

I deffinatly LOVE the Star Trek Enterprise (from the next generation) Idea with me being a Trekky and all. All futuristic with voice activated computers and things of that nature would be so amazing in a resort. When you look out your window all you see is stars and blackness. Imagine walking into a Star Ship. I've got a dream. Or at least get a Star Trek ride (I know Paramount has the rights).
